Denver is nuts. I think he’s a terrible fit next to Jokic

I think he’s a good fit cause shooting off the ball. He just has to learn how to cut off the ball cause joker is a great passer in the half court. If healthy and Jamal comes back healthy they should do well they got size experience now and depth.

Dude is a nut all he does shoot every time he gets the ball and this contract will make him worse with his shot selection

Yea that’s true he use to take some stupid shots. I think with Murray being out he had that green light. I expect them to fix that but who knows every time he ran off a screen he’s was looking to shoot didn’t matter how bad the position was he was pulling.

Naw. I mean you are right he is a good cutter and Jokic is so a good passer that he can hit him. But dude has no other distinguishable attribute outside scoring. And I’ve seen Jokic get visible frustrated with him when he breaks the offense just to Jack up some shyt. Not to mention he was awful in the playoffs when Murray went down

Remember when guys like @Gil Scott-Heroin said he wasn’t any good?
It's hard to remember something that I didn't say. I do remember how you said that MPJ is/was better than Jokic the moment he stepped foot on the floor though.

He's the key to their championship aspirations, so they had no other choice but to overpay and keep him. They're winning the championship if he becomes the #2/1b option that they think that he can be. Murray is better suited as the #3 until he can prove that he can be consistent.
Say what now?

As it stands, Murray is a definitively better option than MPJ, and is considerably more consistent. He can actually handle the ball, create his own shot and create for others - none of these attributes are in MPJ's bag. MPJ is who he is and I don't see him changing in the future.

:pachaha: That might’ve been the worst hot take I’ve ever seen on here

the worst part is that he said that before MPJ even improved a bit :picard:

Porter has legit 50/40/90 potential and will sooner than later be the leading scorer for the Nuggets. He has the back issue but it hasn't been a problem since his rookie year. Denver had to pay him or watch him go somewhere else and average 30.
Beyond the red herring and arbitrary nature of this mark, you do realize he shot 54/44/79 last season, right? Essentially, the volume disparity on his free throws is the only thing that stopped him from hitting the latter percentage. If that's the potential you're speaking of, he's already proven that.

He's already a 50/40/90-type player.

I think you're getting too caught up in the numbers and not seeing his game for what it is.

He's one of the best shooters in the league, and as long as he stays healthy, there's always going to be a place from him in a league that values size/shooting, however, it's hard to see his story developing into anything more than what it currently is. He has severe limitations on defense, and as it's been noted in this thread, he's a black hole on offense, who struggles to create his own shot. He needs a particular set of lineup(s) to exist in, otherwise, the value he does provide ends up running into the red. You don't want him averaging in the vicinity of 30 because it will almost definitely come at the sacrifice of the functionality and success of the team. We all saw in the Phoenix series where he ended up spending too much time on the floor and it ended up costing the Nuggets.

Henceforth why i said 50/40/90 potential. 79 percent is a big step away from 90 percent though bruh.

Putting all the chips on the table with a core of Jokic, MPJ, Murray, and Gordon :wow:

Let’s go get that first ring :win:

Not with mike malone.
We not.

Sorry it is just the truth as a nuggets fan.

The coach is a fo office goof and team roster management idiot.
