Kinect is a gimmick control system that lacks the accuracy and precision to control games that are anything beyond a tech demo. do you think a game like Grand Theft Auto 5 can be fully played with Kinect and no conventional controller? a game like Skyrim?

Kinect is for dumbed down racing and dance games or bullshyt fitness games for people who think they're savvy but can't just go for a jog or lift weights or lastly party style mini game compilations that involve hitting balls. honestly if that's the future of gaming i want out.
I see you don't wanna answer the real questions :win:

AS for what you said, when it comes to fitness, people often work out at home. You'd know that if you ever tried :umad: It telling you your heart rate is a HUGE plus that cannot be denied. But here you are trying :heh:

Bullshyt. Kinect 2.0 does not have the inputs needed to progres gaming. Because games with complex commands dominate the market, motion controllers no matter how accurate they are, will never shed the label of niche.
What you guys are not understanding is Kinect 2.0 will usher in a new way of interacting with all types of games. It won't be the only way you can control all future games. Some will be strictly Kinect, others will have a controller and use Kinect. Kinect also will work with the augmented glases and Illumiroom. Yes, Kinect will work hand in hand with all those technologies. The problem is you guys are trying to squeeze what you know about gaming into Kinect. Kinect isn't trying to fit into the box your used to. Its trying to create new ways. They got plans for it, and you don't take the time to see what is "possible" You not even trying to fathom any other ways but the same shyt we been doing for 30yrs. Progress isn't dependent on what you perceive because you are not a visionary. Let the real visionaries do what they do :blessed:

and at the same time, you are denying that it will never fully take over

we ALL have accepted that it can provide OPTIONS to gaming.. madden you can call out plays.. mass effect you can call out powers.. other games you can dance around.. i thought that karate game was fun.. it was a side scroller that used your whole body.. you were literally in the living room playing final fight

BUT... if we are gonna be serious here, lets stop acting like the day will come when you DON'T NEED A CONTROLLER.. that's virtual reality.. not glasses... literally virtual reality type gaming. how in the hell would anybody play any of the top ten games with NO controller.. there's too much to do.. too much ground (map) to cover and so many inputs it would have to learn

like dude said.. imagine playing any sports or sandbox games.. as is... without a controller... we can play make believe.. you have 20 billion dollars, kinect 5.0, and gta 10... work it out for us

It goes beyond just gaming. This is how you will interact with your electronic devices in the future. It will never take the place of a controller, but at some point the features will become standard and expected out of gaming consoles.

I feel sorry for the Xbots who shytted on Nintendo for years for the motion control gimmick who now feel obliged to love motion controls simply because its a central part of X1 and is driving up the cost for a system that is going to be less powerful than the PS4.

nah fukk that, I ain't sorry at all for you dumb muthafukkaz. Y'all know kinect is wack and does very little if anything to enhance gaming, but y'all in deep denial and can't even be honest with yaselves cause y'all are some brand name zombies. Eat shyt suckers. Hahahahahahahaha.

it doubles the production cost of the console and forces them to raise their retail price to above all competitors for a device many people don't want or need. since their direct competitor gives the option to not have such a device and not have it for $100 less many of the people who don't want it and are unwilling to pay will just go there instead costing them market share.

and i would say this. i would buy that kinect 2.0 for nothing else but more accurate detection during workouts on nike+ and yourshape fitness.

real workout games i've used a lot of that get the job done.

If it goes beyond gaming, why force it on a gaming device? Why not just make it a separate stand alone device that will enhance your home entertainment?

I'll admit this is sorta true, Samsung is even putting Gesture & Voice controls in their new smart TVs: Samsung Smart TV 2013 with Smart Interaction - Discover What's New

But the Xbox fanboys are definitely Cysing the new Kinect. If Smart TV's are using Voice & gesture, of course PS Camera will do that. Sony is a Electronics/Entertainment giant. It's obvious they have planned ahead with the PS4 design, they're not about be left behind on this shyt.

If it goes beyond gaming, why force it on a gaming device? Why not just make it a separate stand alone device that will enhance your home entertainment?

Mmm-hmm, if what Meach is saying really is true than technically that will drive PS Camera sales. If Smart TVs, Smarphones, tablets, etc. can do Gesture & Voice controls, ain't know reason you can't do that shyt with the PS Camera/PS4. The PS Camera has 3D depth sensing & four-channel microphone array forgodsake.

Kinect is the tangible progression of all input devices. Eventually buttons and controllers will be irrelevant. Probably not in this oncoming generation but the shift already started with the Wii. This is the natural evolution of gaming / controlling your everyday devices....which is why Sony will lose this next generation as well by being so limited in their scope

I agree that Kinect is the future of gaming but I believe its a generation too early. I'm actually glad Microsoft did it because it moves the technology forward BUT there is no denying that its pretty irrelevant as long as games are played on TV. Kinect would be great along with something like the Oculus Rift and an omni-directional track. However, until then its just a novelty item.

Microsoft lost BIG TIME by choosing to forgo top of the line specs in favor of Kinect. Playstation will win this generation easily though I believe Kinect will ultimately help move gaming into the future. All in all its a good thing as a gamer because it moves technology forward but as a Microsoft stan its bad cause it means ya'll nikkas lose this generation.
