"Hiphop heads" are more worried about rappers not being "street nikka" than not being good on the mic.

shyt is ass backwards, and people wonder why we are bootlegged the most and respected the least.

okay, so its more so about their skill than them being "weirdos"

got it.

I'm a fan of Fab, but dude can get pretty boring to listen to. id rather listen to Rocky even though lyrically he lacks most of the time.. he has a better delivery, flow and cadence. :yeshrug:
Mostly yes. Eminem was an emo weirdo, but he had skills, personality, a story to tell etc

Rocky & his ilk are just vapid & have nothing to compensate for their lack of skills.

No one likes hipsters, hiphop or otherwise. The pretentiousness of this gen is just salt into the wounds that annoy people but not the main reason for disliking a weirdo rapper.

Yeah he's bugging on that one. Take a trip through Southeast DC or just listen to the news when they talk about Chicago or Detroit. The wild thing about it is, we are in a worse economic situation as a country than we were in the 90s and yet the music doesn't reflect that. The wage gap is the worst its been in decades, unemployment is 6.7 but that's just nationally and not real unemployment and every other day there's a story of gun violence or gang violence in the news

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
and a lot of these street rappers of today do the same and are pretty avg compared to the street rappers of the past. instead of hiding behind their weirdness they hide behind being a "real nikka"
I dont disagree... but we already know that. These new weirdo dudes want a pass for the same wackness for just hiding it with a different mask

Wackness is wackness

I see this coming a mile away brehs :patrice:.

The powers that be are shoving all these weirdo effeminate fukk boys down our throats(See:Chance The Plant).

Cats like Troy Ave, who would of been praised for keeping it real 10 years ago, are now getting hated on relentlessly.

You got threads calling Meek Millz trash, when in reality his content is damn near identical to all the legends we listened to growing up (Jay,Big,Wu,Pac,etc.) . Seems like nowadays if you dont fukking cry on records or talk bout how you were bullied these kids aint fukking with ya.

Its over brehs. The hood is gonna get phased out in 5 years. Then Black people as whole. First its gonna be Middle Class black Rap, Then its gonna be White Rap.

It was a good run brehs :wow:
Kanye already established the middle class rap lane, though an argument can be made that he has since moved on to spit more bourgeois rap nowadays. While I am not a fan of these tight jeans wearing weirdos they're currently pushing down our throats, I can't say that black youths don't need more positive rappers. I just can't fick with these über-gangster rappers that glorify senseless violence in our neighborhoods. They're not good for our people. They're not pushing a message that benefits us at all. The difference between a Rick Ross and jay z as opposed to the nikkas in Chicago and everywhere else that this mindless gun clapping rap is dominant is that Ross and jay rhyme about moving beyond that dumb street shyt to something better. If you listen to jay or Ross or nas, they are telling nikkas to elevate their minds beyond the idiotic shyt that doesn't make nikkas any money. A nikka like chief keef doesn't motivate young nikkas in Chicago to get money. People like him spit garbage to influences fatherless nikkas to smoke loud all day and worship guns. :snoop: shyt is retarded. So I have to disagree with you. The kids need these middle class rappers.

Also, meek mills is NOT spitting the same shyt as the wu or jay or biggie. :comeon:

Some people are trying to phase out gangsta rap/hood stories/ gun bars/ hood struggle/violence out of rap. But that has been the backbone of Hip Hop for years and it has birthed so many sub genres and styles to hip hop.

Without the hood would we have:
G funk
Trap
Hyphy
Snap
Function/Ratchet
Crip Hop/Battlecat
Drill
N.O Bounce
Soulful samples

All those came from the struggle, the hood, the ghetto

But that shyt stagnated and got phased out on its own. It had its heyday, but that shyt being phased out is merely karma on what the hood did to phase out the socially conscious rapper of the early 90s.

keef is a teenager, and a rich teenager at that. Ross and Hov are grown men. Ofcourse their rhymes are gonna reflect their mental mindstate.
