The Booth ya'llReal Husbands of Hollywood is much funnier than Breaking Bad.Try again...
The bolded was actually part of my point. If you know you are real and unwilling to compromise and you are successful in your own right and content with that then you shouldnt' even be worried about this nikka...let alone trying to throw salt in his shyt...after you went on his show. Sounds to me like Kevin's shot at his career really hit him hard.
My point with DMX was that he was the gutterest of all gutter (on a mainstream level) and of all rappers at that time Hollywood chose him and who knows what he could have become if not for the drugs. Point is he was given the opportunity. This idea that they run from hood or hardcore or controversial is silly when you consider the opportunities that some of the guys who fit that mold became and fact that the hood image is the image they love to portray. That's the box they want us in.
Like I keep saying, Mike himself is a pretty big star so he's the last person that should be going down this "only square nikkas get a chance"/"real nikkas don't have as many fans" road.
Yeah I think we mostly agree...And you are right X got a chance, but in fairness to him I don't think the drugs effected his Hollywood career...you dont think he got pigeonholed as the hood action star too and they ate off hiphops popularity while they could?....I don't think in his prime they were offering him the same roles they offered Tom Cruise,Mark Walhberg,Will or Denzel for a action movie despite his potential....they made the same movie a bunch of times geared toward hiphop generation then I think he flopped with that horrible standalone movie with Regan Gomez
.
Theres always plenty roles for Mike Epps,Tracy Morgan to play hood dudes, black actors in general actually....so while they might not run from it doesn't mean they don't know theres a limit to how much money you can make em....but outside of Katt Williams Mike Epps has basically been that nikka in terms of hood comedians for about a decade in terms of success I would say.
My other issue with Mike is that he knows Ice Cube, and far as I know they have a good relationship and theve done some great things on screen together....if you unsatisfied with Hollywood I like to think theres no reason you couldn't go see Cube if you have a great idea of your own....Much as people like to say Cube sold out I don't see it.....I think he's a great example of doing a lot of leg work for yourself, picking quality projects so people confidently spend they money when your movies come out....he need more credit for Ride Along doing what it did.
I like Mike has been picking a lot of different roles lately too, this Pryor Role might be the big one that showcases him in another light to large audience of all types....theres more than one way to skin a cat,he gave Kevin game about evolving before and he's doin that.

You're wrong and probably didnt even listen. Or you just aint a real nikka. Everything he said was real shyt ,including his reason for going at him that way. Basically the reason they took it there was due to kevin turning a cap session into going at mike's career. So that brings career into the convo. Mike went to explain like this nikka is basically a kim kardshion type character and really just an average nikka when it comes to his craft. Which is an accurate assessment to me. Kevin is everywhere, good for him. But considering how big he is,what has he really done that was super duper funny?
I dont remember anything iconic from him.
And i'm not talking popularity i'm talking quality.
His whole career has been about a large quanity of average quality work.
Both his comedy specials that went to the theaters were wack.
Even the good movies he's been apart of,he's just there. He doesnt make the movie dope.
And like i said, none of this would have been said, had he not attacked mike's career.
Epps hated on Chappelle too when he was on top.....![]()
He hated on Chappelle when he was on top too. Dude is a clown, and a hater.
Forgot about that shyt.....![]()
What did he say about Chappelle?
Breh stop. Your presented an inaccurate portrait of history based on your preferences and ignorance and tried to pass it off as proof of something. I shut that shyt down and your only recourse is calling me Kevin and Owen Hart. The Coli at it's finest
