It's a locker room sport more than others as it's more of a marathon and not a sprint, lead the troops. It's not that difficult when you are a superstar. You have to have good leadership skills. The locker room is critical. This isn't basketball where one player can change everything.
Trout can't control eight other batters on his team, or getting pitched around.
What exactly is he supposed to do? Answer that.
I disagree. He can't be the only reason you win rings but he can change the locker room and lead you to success with his passion and energy. I've seen too many cases over the last 30 years. No one player can make u a winner in baseball.
” man shut your dumb ass up
” man shut your dumb ass up But but his team suck tho....angels 25th in era, bottom 10 in runs allowed , below average defensively along with middle of the pack or closer to the bottom in several other categories and this clown talking about “just lead the locker room” man shut your dumb ass up
The angels suck trout can’t play 8 other positions, pitch and hit.
they haven't sucked in the other 8 years tho. What's you excuse now? But but but pitching

bytch name one superstar that can't make his team a winner in the regular season in a decent scope? That's normally a commonality with MVP candidates in Baseball, unless you Trout.

All the other teams and players he is mentioning were built to succeed not all on the shoulders of Acuna, Bellinger, Yelich etc. Baseball is not a sport you can solely judge on win/loss record and the reason his hitting stats prop him up because that's literally the easiest way to compare players. A hitter vs a pitcher is an individual battle, his teammates have no impact on those outcomes. If they never get on in front of him, he has no RBIs. If they never hit behind him, he has no runs. This is not where Trout is judged as being great, its because hes literally one of the greatest hitters the league has ever seen since he came into the league. There are no numbers you can post or anecdotal evidence you can muster up that changes that.
Trout has played on significantly worse teams than anybody mentioned. That isnt his fault and I dont know what MLB player you could swap with trout that would make the Angels a playoff team. The best players trout has played with will never be confused as top players in the league. An old Torii Hunter? Howie Kendrick? Mike Napoli? Josh Hamilton? Over the hill Pujols? Justin Upton? Ervin Santana might be the best starting pitcher hes had on his team
Everyone wants to see him in the playoffs but people also understand context and one player arent overcoming teams like the Astros and A's in their own division until their team is built better.

Sosa wasn't a leader of men. He was just a prop like Mark. Those nikkas was all about numbers. They never had winning as a priority. That's one reason I am glad the steroids era came to an end. Look at the nikka now,Sammy Sosa was hitting 50-60 hrs with 140 rbis and the cubs were losing 95 + gamesman go sit yo ass down somewhere
You forgot about McGwire in Oakland/st Louis and bonds in frisco? Griffey wasn’t leading Seattle no where either bozo , they made the postseason twice in Griffey’s 10 years there
