Just got out...the movie is worth the watch. I'd rank it above part one. The story was really good. I like how they tied in previous films but it was interesting how they loosely tied in part one.

The two main action sequences were 5 star

This would’ve been a top 3 MI film for me if it wasn’t for that first hour. It goes on a generational run once it gathers its footing.

Some of the callbacks were cool and then there were others that just weren’t necessary. Felt very “previously on…”. Folks watching the eighth installment have more than likely already watched the other flicks to not require such recaps. Trim that fat off and you probably get a more accessible runtime out of it.
We heard about this entity for 5.5 hours. Jesus Christ. Second half was fire though.

Is ving sick? This and dope third he's sick and dies lol

I had to pee so bad in the last movie I held it as long as possible. Ran out and missed some of the parts with him on the motorcycle when he missed the train jump smh

Can’t even have snacks with this long ass movie lol

Download RunPee :dame:

Seriously, that app will ensure you never have that problem again. Especially with 3hr run times becoming the norm.

Anyway, I’ll catch it this weekend. Not liking a lot of what I’m hearing so far but I’ve pretty much loved all the MI, so I’m trusting TC.

I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

The movie was too long for me to rate it higher. Though without a doubt if this is Cruise's last go as Ethan, it wraps everything up. There are some scenes in a sense where I feel stuff could have been cut out, and it will still be just great. That being said, for all of the times Cruise has forgone stunt actors for his scenes, having this long of a movie negates me making this a worse review for a film.

This isn't just a celebration of the cast and crew, but really to Tom Cruise himself and the dedication he puts into his work and post-production to make it successful.

Without a doubt a movie that is well worth going to the theaters to watch.

It was hella good near the end. It’s already been said, that first third is Endgame level boring. Too many old clips and talking about AI. No one was actually afraid of that thing. The budget clearly went into those last two action sequences. The emotional core of the movie almost had your boy sobbing in the middle of the theatre. Everyone in the main cast ate and left no crumbs. But the pacing and direction was a little too loose, like they just had to make it long as hell for some reason.

What almost got me was when the old creh with the Alaskan wife was reflecting on how Ethan’s actions affected him. “Happiness is a matter of perspective”. He wasn’t salty at all, and actually made the most of that random moment that we never even thought about how it affected him when Ethan robbed the place.

Just shows that your actions go a long way even when you don’t notice it.& Luther’s speech was cliche but fire. All in all, solid 4 out of 5. Much better than that weedplate Part 1.

Hol up you saying this was even better than 6? I felt like that was the top tier cinematic popcorn experience

It ain’t better than Fallout breh :mjlol:

Anyone saying that is shilling or just caught in the moment because it’s supposedly the last entry.

Fallout has better action, better characters, a better story, a better villain. Better everything. That movie never felt dragged out either.

This is a one watch movie and there is zero reason to watch it again entirely after the first time. The two big stunts are just recycled from Rogue Nation and Fallout.

Suddenly turning this shyt into Terminator was stupid.

saw it this morning. Even with good pacing you can feel them near 3 hours. But yeah, one thing i'll give this credit for was avoiding that dreaded 2nd act exposition dump that, that's usually when i start fighting against sleep in these movies. But this one kept up the pace.

This movie had some good action sequences of course. The final sequence was too long though. A few reaches.

A few unnecessary people in this movie that were mad at Ethan that didn't need to be in this.

The main selling point for this is seeing in theaters for the big action sets.

Was thinking about seeing this over the weekend but idk I just don't have the urge anymore. Not really wanting to spend 3 hours in a movie theater. If the coli reviews are trustworthy I may just say fukk it and go.

And if you not seeing it…. I’m not either…..

not until it drops on Max or something
