I'm mixed, so obviously yes, been mistaken for

- American (by Americans lol)
- Brazilian
- From Gabon (by a breh from Gabon)
- From Madagascar
- From french Caribbean
- From Cabo-Verde
- From...Qatar lol

TBH it's impossible for anyone to guess where I'm from just with my features, and I don't really have an accent.

:stopitslime: I've been told a look like a ghetto nikka from DC, to NYC, to ATL, Jamaica to, Trinidad, to Guyana, to Colombia, to Panama.

Which would make sense- I'm reddish with thick eye brows and jet black hair.

Some people usually black foreigners think I’m Muslim and/or from Africa/Caribbean because of my name and beard.

I would think my mannerisms would show 100% AA but there’s a lot of black immigrants now so it makes since we can be mistaken as a foreigner sometimes even by fellow AAs:manny:

Where It’s Not Safe
Im a medium compexion /brown skinned Dominican with African features (full lips high cheekbones) but my hair is wavy/ a different texture

So sometimes I got Ethiopian when I was in DC (I sorta got the forehead too but nowhere as bad:scusthov:)

Guyanese (east indian and black mixture)

A black Brazilian

african american

Or people just get it right the first time usually and say im Dominican 7/10

But I grew up in an African American neighborhood in DC so my mannerisms and accent shows that

I don't consider myself light skinned even though it can be argued. I get Ethiopian regularly. In fact most people just assume I am Ethiopian.

When I went to the DR people thought I was Dominican and when I went to JA everyone thought I was local Rastafari.

I have been asked if I was mixed or even North African.

I am pretty much a chameleon. If the county has "Black" people of various skin tons I can fit in though I have never been to Africa. Probably never go to East Africa though b/c I have had Habisha here argue me down about not claiming my heritage. :deadmanny: I

You do kinda look ambiguous from what I can remember from that DMV meet up thread. :patrice:
