Yeah went solo honestly if you have the bread and the pto I would say aim to go around carnival season for Feb 2027 just my advice

Japan is still a good option but if you go to japan i would say see if you can take 2 week off and see if you can do a whole asia tour.

Bali, Thailand, and Vietnam are legit

last time I was in Taiwan was 2016, it's not bad but it wouldn't be my first choice I still had fun when I went though
