how do you know when to cut or bulk

i'm 182 lbs 6'1 and pretty happy with how i look, im basically skinny everywhere except the stomach/hip area and im trying to get rid of that extra fat. so just try to keep cutting?

im hitting around 150-180 g of protein a day is that enough?

do you have decent musculature?

if so keep cutting, but if you are built like a bird...bulk :ehh:

thanks i think ill cut then

whats your opinion on using creatine, on a cut as well?

it increases water retention so you may appear bloated at times(and hold more water)

weight loss should still stay the same if youre doing it right. Creatine is just gonna give you alittle bit "more" while ur working out but it wont improve your ability to burn fat.

MMS, I m following your guide and instead of cutting weight, I gained 5 lbs :smh:


I eat less and I workout 3x/week.


Why am I gaining ? Oh, yeah my diet is dope too

Over what time period was this 5 lb gain?

If you're eating right and working out you will not gain weight. Not fat weight anyways. If you are, then you might have a thyroid disorder and need to see a doctor.

How many calories?

beakfast

Organic eggs (whites only... yolks to the bushes)

snacks --Kellogs Protein bar with OJ)

Dinner Brown rice and salmon.


I knjow I may not be drinking enough water and that sometimes I eat at 9 PM after work. Would that be a reason ?

Also, should I just do cardio and no lifting ?

Not sure of the portion sizes, but that doesn't seem like enough calories. Calorie deficiencies can cause weight gain.

none of that coincides with anything outlined in the guide

you have to know WHAT all that is(calorie/protein wise) + the portion(serving size)

My portion size is very small though and what am I missing from your guide ? I see nowhere you mention portion size. How do I calculate protein in organic egg whites ? :deadrose:

You might not be eating enough and if you do that and have day where you eat everything :merchant:

You should lift and do cardio if you want but ideally you would do some lifting.

You don't want to be skinny fat :guilty:

:wot: everything you buy...everything has nutrition facts on it

IE Nutrition Facts: Rice
serving size - 1 cup
calories 300
carbs - blah blah
protein - 0g

etc. you have to count that.

but dont be discouraged...if you count it once and dont change the variation of how you cooked the meal...you wont have to count it again(cause youll have the number saved for use later)

if you dont count cals...you may or may not be in a consistent deficit...and i assure you..you arent undereating.

Look at the nutrition label? Myfitnesspal? I mean there are tons of ways but did you go to the calculator and input your height/weight and stuff like that? That's how you know how many calories to eat.

LOL son, don't half ass the plan and then expect results.

papi is pretty swole, but he doesnt actually cook :skip: his wife does

so if im a betting man, shes just fixing his plates and hes eating it :bryan:
