sometimes its better to bulk tbh :manny: youve already lost a bit of weight. I went through the same trials. More muscle will make cutting more fruitful even if its only a couple of pounds
maybe ur right, i just want that optimal beach body breh :noah:

Going the recomp route?

I think @GinaThatAintNoDamnPuppy! tried this before. He may have some useful insight.
It doesnt work. Or maybe it works, but only for certain people. It doesn't work for me though. I started full on bulking in May, I have been averaging .75-1lb a week. And over the last 4 months I have made more gains than I did maybe in the last 1-2 years. I'm def putting on a little fat, but that's how the game goes :manny: It's under control and when I cut down it will be marvelous.

To me a beach body = 17" arms and a balanced physique. U r not gonna get 17" arms, cobra wings/traps, pumpkin shoulder or gorilla t*ts any time soon just eating at or slightly above maintenance. If u want an omelette (beast physique) u gotta crack eggs (spend a year or two doughy but strong)

I started this plan in March weighing 305 pounds. The most I had ever been. I'm down to 260 now. My goal weight is 215. It was originally 220 but why the fukk not! The least i ever recall weighing was 235-240 at 6'2 before i fukked up my ankle back in 06.

This plan and Roxylean along with some other supps got ya boy going in the right direction.

Salute!

Dieting now myself.

I like to keep things simple. Just going on a consistent deficit.

The BF method I used said I was 18.1bf% but I reckon that's a little higher than what it really is. Regardless I want to lose about 5%, put myself into that 11-13% range. No point getting super ripped in winter but I feel too fat to continue atm.

77.2kg (down from 77.8 even though I hadn't started dieting properly yet), 5'9.5. Looking to get down to the 72's. Should probably stick my bulks to a max. of 75kg for at least a year or so.

What is a good routine for a female who wants to start at the gym? I've started following the formula in the first post but I dont know what type of lifting I should doing. Right now I go 3 days a week and I do the elliptical, treadmill and the thing that you push with your legs. I dont know what it is called. @MMSex

add in some basic dumbbell work for your upper body(bench, row, overhead) and sub squats in for the leg press and id say youre good to go

dont really have any need to go super heavy, id increase weight biweekly

Cool. I can do the dumbells at home. I hate going in the section where the weights are because the men crowd the area looking like vultures. All of them wanting to "train" you for free. Lol

Are you saying to squats in addition to the leg press or is the sub squats a techinique you do on the leg press machine?

Suuuuuuuuubs

Got back into weight lifting this semester. Bout to stick with it now. In Aug I was fluctuating between 185-190, but after three months I'm maintaing 175. My stomach is slimmer and my thighs are more firm too. I'd like to tighten up my abs tho and get a six pack and increase my overall muscle mass. Bout to start lurking this forum more reguarly.

what a shytty three months ive had, liver problems, both feet casted..:to:

its really restricted me lifting and ive gotten lazy with my eating too. its hard to be on a diet when you cant lift as well..i've gotten a lil flabby..not too much, five pounds more than i would like. i would bulk like i planned til april 1st, but i dont like this feeling. i dont want this trend of gaining weight to continue cuz i dont want to take the chance of not being able to break the trend. i never wanna go back to pudgy/fat. wednesday my casts come off and so do the pounds.
