Prodigy on Hell on Earth is the single greatest performance from an MC on any album start to finish imo.

Its also one of the most cohesive albums of all time, its just pure anger and violence from start to finish.

I'm also in agreement that Murda Muzik has to go down as a classic.
I always have said in conversations with people that Prodigy on Hell on Earth and Andre 3000 on Aquemini are some of the greatest performances from any MC on any album imo.

I love Murda Muzik but it is no classic. The second half of the album drags and has some songs that should have been cut from the album.

This fact I keep trying to tell some friends that Hell on Earth was Mobb at their peak. I personally even like it better than the Infamous in certain aspects.

Dope, but I want to hear far darker & grimier shyt on this project.

Don't worry breh there will be. Not everything has to be on some dark, depressive shyt.
You know Alc is in his lane with those soulful type beats sometimes.

I hope we get some of those soulful, lavish type beats like the ones on Alfredo 2.

That beat change on the last minute or so of Lavish Habits is the type of shyt I wanna hear

I feel like Taj Mahal sounds super grimy and not in as much of a soulful vibe

It reminds me of HNIC 2 era P.

I been listening to nothing but Mobb Deep for a minute now, seriously can't wait for this album to drop. Everything sounding good so far.

Been bumping Hell On Earth a lot, I seriously can't believe some nikkas don't like that album. It's by far my favourite Mobb album, don't get me wrong I see why most people say The Infamous is there #1 but to me personally, Hell On Earth is a classic.

Listened to Prodigys The Hegelian Dialectic in full again last night. That album to me is a fukking masterpiece. P was, and always was light years ahead of these other nikkas. I miss that nikka, rap music misses him. Rest In Peace P.

The Infamous was the peak.

With Q-Tip overseeing everything.

Prodigy was a better emcee on HOE than The Infamous. More refined and sharper pen. A lot of his best rapping performances are sprinkled throughout the album.

I actually think it's the exact opposite.

His verse on "Temperature's Rising" and "Q.U. Hectic" is really P at his best. '95-'96, he was one of the dopest MC's in the game. But the OG's he was around during The Infamous had P digging a little deeper to paint pictures in a way he never did again, after that album.

Havoc said it best, The Infamous was "do or die" for them, and they felt it was their last chance to make it. So he said the energy and their hunger turned into them making their best music ever, on that album. And in real time back then, you could hear that they really wanted to make a classic. HOE is dope AF, but it ain't The Infamous. On any level, production, lyrics, direction, etc. That's why it's their favorite album they ever made.
