Dope thread
Growing up, we looked at certain shyt as rites of passage that you kinda had to go through or least attempt in order to become a "man" or "real nikka". Some of the shyt was corny thinking back, but some shyt made sense. Most of this shyt really happened to you between 13-18 tho and lowkey kinda molded you depending on your success with it.
1. Win a one on one fade/squabble/fight etc...
2. Win a best 2 outta 3 series with your nikkas playing full court basketball against another group.
3. Sell some type of fundraising shyt or prove that you can hustle something legit.
4. Bag a chick at the mall or out in public
5. Help/change a flat tire or some auto repair shyt
6. Hold your own when multiple nikkas try to roast you.
7. Learn how to cook at least one fly ass meal.
8. Get straight A's at least once.
9. Drop at least one dope freestyle during lunch that everybody fukks with.
10. Get some p*ssy
Of course there's more and they differ cuz everyone's era was different. Can't front on how much different should would be if you actually had successful mentors coming up with these unwritten lists and not random older nikkas in your neighbor hood and your peers.

. My undergrad chapter specifically worked with a group of black boys in high school all year. Not only that, even a lot brothers who make it to college don’t know to do things like tie a tie, form strong study habits, properly lift weights/condition, resolve conflict without throwing hands etc. The historically black frats teach a lot of these invaluable skills. It’s not just about partying and hazing but so many people just want to shyt on it.
