Bro, did you even see the movie? His friend did nothing when he was being bullied for being gay and was even persuaded into beating him up. Which ultimately led the main character to going to prison because he smashed a chair on his bully's back during class.so every bisexual/gay guy is supposed to have the same thoughts/actions? there are some gay/bi guys who are completely masculine and comfortable with their sexuality.....just like there are some gay/bi guys married to women because they aren't comfortable with their sexuality.
too. It's a story that could speak to people of all walks of life. I don't know what other movies it's up against but I hope it wins. Great to see black writers able to write real black stories. And honestly, straight black men aren't the only black people around. We all have a story to tell.
I went to see it too, it just wasn't that impressive to me.
