Then have the nerve to still give bad customer service. Anyway, I've been saying how bad these movies were forever. It's been a minute, but I looked at my Fandango app yesterday, and the movies have gotten even worse. I was just hoping to catch a Tuesday Discount, since I long ago dropped my A-List membership. But they were showing movies that you'd have to pay me to go see. The last two times I went to the movies (AMC), I had to walk out because I finished my large drink and large popcorn a little earlier than usual, and the movies were way too boring...not to mention the theater was almost empty on both occasions. Now, walking out as an A-List customer is one thing, but when I found myself walking out as a non A-List member, after directly paying, even though they were Tuesday Discounts, then you know things have gotten bad.

If the movie theater has a million fans, then I am one of them. If the movie theater has ten fans, then I am one of them. If the movie theater has only one fan then that is me. If the theater has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against movie theatres, then I am against the world.

This Month
Black Bag - 97% on Rotten Tomatoes,
Last Breath - 79% on Rotten Tomatoes,
Mickey 17 - 78% on Rotten Tomatoes,
Novocaine - 82 % on Rotten Tomatoes,

Last Month
Companion - 94% on Rotten Tomatoes,
Heart Eyes - 81% on Rotten Tomatoes,
Presence - 88% on Rotten Tomatoes

All these movies are bombs, and all these movies combined will make less than Captain America: Brave New World with its 48% on Rotten Tomatoes, and that movie is still a flop.

Audiences have absolutely no interest in new, quality original films. The would rather suffer through a mediocre superhero flick than even an original horror or action movie.

I saw almost all these movies (including Captain America) in theaters and almost every time my theater was dead.

If Sinners doesn’t completely blow the doors off I wouldn’t blame the studios for never green lighting an original film again.

Never heard of any of those movies. Maybe they need to find a new way to market them.

I know it’s been discussed before but today I looked at fandango local amc theaters. I don’t recognize one movie. All these movies are awful

when I was reading about all the oscar winners this past year recently, I didn't see not one movie I recognize. like there's hardly anyone watching these movies.

hell, I rarely watch movies on the streaming services these days either.

The Emagine line of theaters are fire. We have close to me in Portage Indiana. It's a great experience. I go a few times a year.

we had emagine within walking distance of my crib, and I was going damn near every tuesday until about a year ago when they up and closed permanently out the blue. mind you, the times I was going it was damn near empty every time.

personally, I've only been to the theater once so far this year and that was to see den of thieves 2.

The lack of a young Denzel Brad Pitt Tom Cruise Tom Hanks type on the rise etc. doesn't help either. Most of these leading actors these days could be switched out for one another and I wouldn't know the difference.
Chalomet is legit boxoffice.

Dune 2 - 714mm
Wonka - 634mm
Complete Unknown - 132mm, critical acclaim
Dune - 410mm

If you have to wear a light jacket, or even bring a small blanket, like I've seen some do in these AMC theaters, then they're keeping it way too cool in their auditoriums. I actually got congested a half hour into "American Fiction" one Wednesday night. These theaters are known to get a little too cool at some point in the movie, but this was the first time this ever happened to me, to the point I got sick on the spot. What made it so bad was, the movie was holding my attention. When I came back a week or two later to see that same movie, the temperature was more tolerable, plus I wasn't the only one in the auditorium this time. No wonder I don't see too many retirees, especially the elderly, going to theaters too much anymore. This use to be one of their favorable hobbies. You couldn't beat it. Now it's all messed up for them, and I know half of it has something to do with the temperatures being too cool. What are these people thinking. Do they not know they too will become the elderly one day...if they're lucky.

I also noticed that when AMC theaters show a movie that's more popular with Blacks, the temperature gets a little too cool after a while, or hit or miss, unless it's one of those popular Black movies that can draw Whites. But when it's one of those Marvel movies, etc..., the temperature seems to be more comfortable. The temperature seems to be more comfortable even when it's a White movie that don't attract large crowds.
