Yea I had to cite sources, the last page of the PPT was a works cited page

I mean within the text of a document to give it more of a legal/authoritative vibe. The first bullet of the presentation should have been “according to _____ us law enforcement considers racist hate groups as a domestic threat”…. Anything less comes off as just babble, which is fine for coli arguments and maybe even get you a pass for undergrad studies. But don’t ever not actually discuss a source within the points of your presentation if you go further in this field.

You say this comes out of the mouth of law enforcement officials, what can she say at that point that isn’t just her opinion?

And this is more so general advice because I’ve seen you post about wanting to go law, and I’ve seen the way you debate/argue. That shyt not going to cut it bro.
I’ll guess you’ll learn more later, but it wouldn’t hurt to learn how to be more persuasive sooner

Pre Law Student

I had a presentation essentially giving a PDB (Presidential Daily Brief) to summarize what a PDB it’s something intelligence agents do where they brief the POTUS of potential domestic and international security threats

I presented first and my topic (students had autonomy to choose their own topics) I chose the Jacksonville Mass Shooting that happened two weeks ago

My presentation went well, even people told me after class they thought I had the best presentation after class

But I could definitely tell my professor wasn’t fukkin wit lol, after all the presentations was finished she said she wanted to talk about some of the topics we picked

She says

“Apprentice good presentation, but racist hate groups is not a domestic threat” :mjpls:

I’m not gon hold u I ain’t kno what to say, I was kinda scared cuz I’m like damn this bytch control my grade

If y’all don’t believe she on that type time she later went on to say she from Buffalo :francis:

Did I go out like a bytch? It’s 11 pm I’m still thinkin bout this shyt

Rubric said there should be a works cited page, not directly quote any document or text. Everything you seen in that PPT was a fact not an opinion, the only “opinion” so to say is the threat analysis

We all know racist groups are a domestic threat, that doesn’t need to be cited, the Jacksonville crime it’s self is being investigated as a terrorist attack

And what do u mean u seen the way I debate on here? This rl a forum we be shytposting on no way u think any of it reflective of what occurs in an academic space

Report her to the Deans office or Faculty administrator or wherever it is terrorist sympathizers are reported.
Tell them she made you fearful and uncomfortable. You owe that c*nt nothing, not her job security, not her reputation.

Don't even play with these demons breh..

Bro it’s not like you are going to get docked points for quoting a source lol. But it would have potentially prevented the whole follow up conversation. She says it’s not, you say “according to the feds, who I quoted, it is” then you drop mic.
And I’ve seen you in plenty of serious conversations, when confronted with real life facts you play victim, say “that’s disingenuous” call out “straw man” “ad hominem” like it’s some sort out f 7th grade debate or something. That not how lawyers work bro, that’s not logic.

:mjlol:

Lady what? Straw man and ad hominem are logical fallacies you use to shut down argument

When would u see a lawyer call another lawyer a fakkit or retárd? You just said I play victim because I call out logical fallacies, something you are taught in debate and literacy classes

Shawty knock it off, you didn’t know what ad hominem was in 7th grade u ji just chatting

That’s grade school logic. That’s not legal argument is my point. Nobody ever changed policy by crying about being called stupid for their opinion. That’s not how laws get made lol. Aight whatever, I’ll guess you’ll learn when you get to the level.

I had a teacher get PISSED at me for a paper based on israel vs palestine and i said the fighting would never end.

She tried to explain to me all the usual zionist talking points that israel deserved to be a state and all that. I said im not debating any of that.

All i said was it would go on for years and ive never been more confused by her reaction than i had in my life. Gave me a B- any lower i woulda went over her head. I should have looking back. Treated me like shyt the rest of the year.
