I heard someone say on that the Suns can't do this with Bradley Beal due to some weird rule in the CBA

:mindblown:

They can’t do it bc you can only have 15% of the cap going to dead salary and since they already stretched Nassir Little last year if they tried to do Beal too it would take them over the 15%

Wow. Pacers were in Game 7 of the NBA Finals just LAST fukkING WEEK. And they tryna avoid the tax. Lmao Jesus Christ

Without Haliburton next year, they aren’t winning shyt anyway. It’s smart to fall back this year, especially if it means not locking up mid ass Myles Turner. CBA dictates this type of strategy

Pacers and Celtics are in the same boat. They just need to stay afloat. Fall back for a year and let the smoke clear. No need to spend when chances are you won’t be there at the end.

They are gonna get Ayton and wanna hurt themselves. Feel sorry for the fans
Clear gap year, if they suck they got their pick back and will gladly swap out paying Myles Turner for a decent lottery pick in a loaded draft

Out of all the positions that the Pacers could upgrade during this Final run... Myles Turner was the clear answer.

He wasn't on shyt when it mattered most. I'm sure Indy will get panned for this, but with Hali out the whole year, this was smart

But they aren’t gonna upgrade or replace him they are just losing him for nothing to save money

Yeah he’s inconsistent and doesn’t rebound but a stretch big who can play D is still valuable

Pacers are better with him then losing him for nothing

Where does Pacers owner rank when it comes to cheapness, that man hasn't paid tax all his life. He gave a good pumpfake saying he would finally do it few weeks ago

There are 6 teams who have spent $0 in luxury tax since 2012:

Indiana, Atlanta, Orlando, Sacramento, Charlotte, Detroit

I believe Charlotte is the only team to never pay the luxury tax in their franchise history, I wanna say Indiana may have paid during the Jermaine O’Neal-Artest era
