I was taking a light jab/but I get what you're saying. I Just don't agree in regard to Nas, I think all of business stuff he's been on lyrically is interesting/uplifting for the mind.
If you like it. More power to you.

He did enough reflecting on a classic like Project Windows for me to like all the odes to his hood 26 years later

I dont care some clubs not there anymore

Move on.

Nas has a classic and hit record in him. If he let people in on his life. Not this surface shyt. Rap about dating in your 50s or something. Nas need a prime Puffy. It seem like he trusted Hit. But Hit is a damn kid. Way out of his lane. shyt Just blaze would be perfect for Nas. But just lazy af

If you dont have the proper speakers or a whip just say that. These damn basslines aint made for earphones Premo said

Now nikkas have to be riding the bus and too broke for speakers because they said DJ Premier production was underwhelming. Maybe, just maybe, it’s an honest opinion.

How cats aren't grasping this is borderline hilarious

Same ones who was talking about flipping the same sample on HHID that he used on Thief's Theme being lazy and missing the obvious point that it was part of the concept. This been going on with Nas songs and albums for 30 years :mjlol:

This is fine. It catches some pretty big wind in the middle with Pause Tapes and lasts for quite a bit. But this is very much a passion project/legacy act from a legacy artist, even if its my favorite artist. Not a big fan of repurposing NYSOM, but not opposed to the Billy Joel flip, felt like it could have gone to a different idea.

Its comfort food, which is better than what I can say for Magic 2 and 3.

Premier always says that he doesn't make music for computer or phone speakers.

He said when you throw this on, listen on a real system or in the car. That's a must.
Premo is definitely talking on most of the album. There are subtle sounds that he added to the beats that make them sound better, but you wouldn't be able to pick them up just by listening through regular ear buds or headphones.

Sounds like you're describing Life Is Good which he already did...

Grew on me today just letting it play. It’s not the sistine chapel or whatever but outside a few songs it’s fun for what it is.

Got me thinking about Fort Greene park on a nice day in the 90s. Some foam earphones and a walkman. Back when you could only carry a couple tapes with you all day just letting the same tape ride.
