Nas has a classic and hit record in him. If he let people in on his life. Not this surface shyt. Rap about dating in your 50s or something. Nas need a prime Puffy. It seem like he trusted Hit. But Hit is a damn kid. Way out of his lane. shyt Just blaze would be perfect for Nas. But just lazy af

Now nikkas have to be riding the bus and too broke for speakers because they said DJ Premier production was underwhelming. Maybe, just maybe, it’s an honest opinion.
Same ones who was talking about flipping the same sample on HHID that he used on Thief's Theme being lazy and missing the obvious point that it was part of the concept. This been going on with Nas songs and albums for 30 years

This is fine. It catches some pretty big wind in the middle with Pause Tapes and lasts for quite a bit. But this is very much a passion project/legacy act from a legacy artist, even if its my favorite artist. Not a big fan of repurposing NYSOM, but not opposed to the Billy Joel flip, felt like it could have gone to a different idea.
Its comfort food, which is better than what I can say for Magic 2 and 3.

Premo is definitely talking on most of the album. There are subtle sounds that he added to the beats that make them sound better, but you wouldn't be able to pick them up just by listening through regular ear buds or headphones.
