FACTUAL...

At this point in time, I'm over it. The fact is we've already heard the best work Nas is ever gonna do with Premier. We've heard the best song Nas is ever gonna do with Large. Nas and Pete Rock will never top The World Is Yours. Nas and Havoc at this point is better on paper than it would be in audio. Nas and Alchemist could still work but it's not a must...

Nas doesn't have to work with the same MFs he worked with forever ago... I WOULD like for him to work with some people on their skill level but it doesn't have to be them. It's not gonna be the instant magic people think it's gonna be, just because they did great things together in the 90s. shyt, we finally got two Nas/Pete Rock collabs last year, nikkas wanted that to happen forever... and nobody flipped on their ear for either one of 'em...

All depends on which beats are picked out/used..the song range could go anywhere from alright-good-great to classic dependent upon which beats are used when Nas is in question with those guys.

Like I always have to say when a Nas thread goes like this, thank God Nas never listened to you imbeciles and idiots throughout his career. If he had, he would of had a 2 album career but instead hes the GOAT. People still want Nas to rap exclusively over boom bap and mafioso shyt lmfaoo..... COMEDY. If you really believe hes the GOAT like i do, yall should want him to make great/classic music over different soundscapes. A wise man once said "you want my old shyt buy my old albums". When I want that boom Bap and mafioso, I just go back to arguably the 2 greatest rap albums ever in Illmatic and it was written. You nikkas are weird and silly

So according to Hip Hop DX Hit Boy is the executive producer. Which means perhaps it opens the project up to beats by other producers.

If THATS true then maybe Hit Boy is guiding Nas on which songs to pick from the studio sessions with Dr Dre, Swizz, and all the other producers he’s been in the studio with over the years

In the brief video clip, the Illmatic legend talks about finally having the time to work with Hit-Boy. Evidently, the highly sought after producer did more than prep a few beats for Nas’ forthcoming project. According to a press release, the 33-year-old multifaceted artist earned the title of executive producer for the entire body of work — whatever that may be.

Although he couldn’t provide any further details on the collaboration, he did note, “August 21 will be a day to remember.”
