Nah. And what Hit-Boy did was more impressive. A raw flip with all the guts in it like the OG is much easier than a full recreation with new instrumentation and melodies.
Nah. If it don’t sound as good what’s the point? Not saying it doesn’t sound good. It sounds dope. But the original has more soul to it. And he DEF needs to add more swing to the drums. That’s not even debatable.

once his people realize the lost revenue and advertising from only having it on spotify, im sure they'll work their contract magic to get it released to other platforms
The plan was to release it on other platforms after a week.

The Meth joint didn't end up happening, from what i read on an article before is that scheduling preventing them from getting in the studio together.

EDIT:

But according to DJ Mike Nice, “the Meth session in 96 never took place, Meth was to be on it was written but missed the studio session” and “D’angelo missed his session with Nas as well.”

Because the original is a beat, not a composition

yall don't anything about Hip Hop

Hit Boy played it back, it doesn't have soul, you think Hit Boy is better musician then the song sampled on the OG lmao, there's he can play it back all he wants he's not that good enough of musician play those same notes better than the original record, you don't know shyt about music if you think other wise, and that's why its flat.

And also, the pocket on the beat is what makes it better besides the sample elements, the chopped intro, the vocal going through the chorus, everything was better.

Hit Boy better at sampling than playing anyway, the pocket was just too stiff on the beat, but real beats don't have the basic 4/4 timing, because it's too mechanical and robotic, you gotta slide it off a little bit to give it some ride.

the feeling of the beat, the rhythm of it is better, it has nothing to do with the sound quality

if they could remaster the OG and bring the sound quality up to modern times the difference would be tremendous because it would be more apparent

I believe Meth said that the song he was supposed to be on was Suspect.

I could never place what song D’angelo would be on unless it was scrapped entirely. Maybe he was supposed to be on Black Girl Lost and they just got Jo Jo on as a replacement?

Basically. He didn’t have enough swing on any part of the beat. Plus it was too quantized. This is an issue a lot of modern producers have when it comes to trying to produce something with a natural sound.
