Because the original is a beat, not a composition

yall don't anything about Hip Hop

Hit Boy played it back, it doesn't have soul, you think Hit Boy is better musician then the song sampled on the OG lmao, there's he can play it back all he wants he's not that good enough of musician play those same notes better than the original record, you don't know shyt about music if you think other wise, and that's why its flat.

And also, the pocket on the beat is what makes it better besides the sample elements, the chopped intro, the vocal going through the chorus, everything was better.

Hit Boy better at sampling than playing anyway, the pocket was just too stiff on the beat, but real beats don't have the basic 4/4 timing, because it's too mechanical and robotic, you gotta slide it off a little bit to give it some ride.

the feeling of the beat, the rhythm of it is better, it has nothing to do with the sound quality

if they could remaster the OG and bring the sound quality up to modern times the difference would be tremendous because it would be more apparent

But the original was a sample to begin with, you act like the OG song was made with a live band
:dahell:

You're discrediting Hit-Boy for not recreating the off-rhythms in the original sample, but failing to realize that the original song had off rhythms because it was a direct rip, and still had a lot of raw guts in it from vinyl ripping in an era that had A LOT of clean instrumentation. You're delusional as fukk if you think this isn't more impressive.

I dont mind the beat change on the updated version at the end of Nas verse actually makes it sound more old school
