Grammys have never been indicative of or in touch with the times and that has ALWAYS been the case. You're in here mad because this year they didn't nominate an album by Lil Baby. Boo hoo

I listened to it last night the young Homie @ISO swore by him and as a from the 88-96 era I was like let's see what this new generation crying about how he's the truth, album of the year.

I listened, Sonically the Album was dope, lyrically this new flow kills it, that shyt is wack to me and always been wack

If he just rapped regular, expanded his wordplay, he can be a force

He 100% deserved Best Rap Solo Performance in 97 for If I Ruled The World (LL Cool J’s Hey Lover won)

He definitely deserved Best Music Video for One Mic in 03 (Fatboy Slim won)

I’d argue that he deserved the W in 09 for Best Rap album as Untitled was a stronger body of work than Carter 3. BUT Carter 3 was a juggernaut of an album that sold a million in its first week and Wayne owned that year so I won’t even bytch about that.


He was DEFINITELY snubbed in 2013. Life Is Good>>>>>> Take Care all day everyday. Life Is Good was also more critically acclaimed. That album should have never lost

While I love Nas how can any stan say that he deserved a Grammy over the albums you listed? As much as folks are trying to argue against it now, the albums that won represented the time BUT they were also phenomenal albums. Besides being , that may be why some of the posters dont think Lil Baby, Pop, and Roddy belong. Time will tell.
