NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Dame’s been saying this since forever, almost word for word.

He hated Superugly, he said that even before Nas and Jay made peace, he said back in the day it was rushed and a bad chess move.

He even said the part about Nas saying his name getting him hype back in the day.

He’s always said Nas won the battle and that he’d never seen Jay under that type of pressure before. I think he once said he was the one who told Jay to go on vacation because it was too hot in the city.

Dame also said he’s the one who got Hot 97 to pull Nas’s “Hanging Jay-Z robot” stunt once he got wind of it. It was almost show time and he heard about it and called them up and threatened to pull all Roc A Fella artists off their playlists and that Jay wouldn’t do any interviews with them unless they pulled the performance.

He’s also complimented Nas business acumen before it was popular to do so and said Nas always represents the culture as a gentleman.

The only new thing about this particular snippet of interview was the shots at Irv Gotti lmao.
Irv and Dame never liked eachother. lol. U could even see how Irv spoke on Dame on the movie Backstage. They both egomaniacs but fukk Irv tho.

Anyone ever dig up the "UH OH!!!" response Jay dropped before Super Ugly?

I barely remember that shyt, Nas was making fun of him on the famous interview. "Who he think he is, Nelly?" Seem like Hov's PR team got it permanently scrubbed from the internet like the cut of You Owe Me where Beyonce rocking the QB chain
Nah the “Uh Oh” shyt was Super Ugly. Nas was clowning him for that. The other track was the “European Jay” track. Nas was clowning him for calling himself a European. That track has definitely been erased from history. I think it only got played a couple times but it was extremely wack and got pulled when they dropped Super Ugly.

This battle is legitimately the greatest thing to ever happen to Nas (and his fans), while it was just a minor footnote in Jay’s career.

I doubt he even much distinguishes it from the other skirmishes he’s had with guys like Mase, Dipset, etc… 😅

People rating Superugly only started online like a couple of years later when the shyt turned into stans trolling
