This battle is legitimately the greatest thing to ever happen to Nas (and his fans), while it was just a minor footnote in Jay’s career.

I doubt he even much distinguishes it from the other skirmishes he’s had with guys like Mase, Dipset, etc… 😅
:mjlol:
Tell us about JayZ birthday bruh.
Imagine my birthday being synonymous with a diss track

Whether it's true or not, why is Dame still talking about Jay. Like man, move on.

Yea ok :russ:

Nas humbled Jay and he literally cried on radio after Ether, made a whole double album after trying to convince people his ass whooping wasn't so bad and the word Ether is now synonymous with getting destroyed. And on top of that Nas dropped Ether on Jay's bornday. shyt fukked Jay up and I guarantee he thinks about that shyt all the time.

Wouldn't say it was wack but it was definitely the wrong move at that point. If he had just left it at Takeover he woulda still took the L but I don't think it would have been as big coz Hot97 wouldn't have needed to get involved.

That was a wild time. The fact he survived that onslaught is kinda crazy when you think about it

if it was so minor, why did he make a whole ass song conceding defeat?

I ain't hear him make a song like that for all his other beefs

"As a Naz fan"? Damon out here getting interviewed by a Punjabi who can't even pronounce Nas's name correctly

So what if Jay wants to be looked at as a business man. He knows he can't rap forever and he is known more currently for his business endeavors. He's made the majority of his billionaire fortune from his business endeavors and Damons hatin ass knows this so I don't even know why he even made the statement he made about Jay being a business person. Jay is not the one making these type of announcements out of his own mouth either. He can't help what is being reported to the media

This nikka talkin about "when people are outside too much that's overcompensation" but yet if Damon was still popular, he would be right outside overcompensating just like his hoe ass was back in the day as a business man himself. It ain't because "you're tired". FOH. You just don't have that type of money anymore and your popularity is shot

Superugly was trash but Damon is acting as if Ether or any other rap battle/beef in hip hop history didn't include personal business getting said on wax. nikka said he got hyped cause Nas said his name on Ether even though Nas dissed him on Ether. What a hoe he is

He's a high, old, hatin ass lame who went from Rachel Roy to Aaliyah back to Rachel to a procreating with a ugly wack ass white woman with no body. He could have at least gotten himself a pretty PAWG if he that's the route he wanted to go

:comeon:

Jay’s Public Relations game is the best that we have ever seen from a rapper in the GOAT list. He has built his businessman image and campaigned for GOAT very deliberately. This is not up for debate nor is it very necessarily a bad thing because it worked in convincing the general public. It’s just corny to Dame, regardless of motivation, and I agree with him.

Take for example his Rock and Roll induction, he asked both Obama and Dave Chappelle to introduce him even though these are not music people nor is he that close with the. He just wanted to look important. It’s all image. Jay moves like a politician.
