How is this album 22 years too late? In 1996, the hype for a Jay/Nas album would've been minimal. Then people say they STILL want a Nas/AZ which would be more dated than a Jay/Nas album.
It would've been perfect around the time they squashed the beef in terms of hype. Anything before that would've been awkward because of the beef and the fact that Jay was on the come up and Nas was about to have a break out year in '96.
