I think Pau actually finished his studies and technically is a doctor. I could be wrong though. I know I saw images of him doing some intern work in Barcelona while he was with the Lakers.

I think Kobe too had really good grades and basically could've gone to any university he wanted to regardless of basketball. We all know he spoke 2 languages and probably had good understanding of a third. Mutombo iirc came to Georgetown on a scholarship to become a doctor, had nothing to do with basketball initially. Bron you only have to see what he's doing in life to see how intelligent he is regardless of academics.

Yup he’ll the nba is littered with guys who speak 2,3 languages fluently

hell Dwight Powell went to Stanford and was a all academic

It has nothing to do with intelligence. Because of the way the NFL is structured, players just don't have a lot of power compared to NBA players. The NFL is just a more powerful organization.
NFL is structured that way because of the players not using their brain to turn the balance of power in their favor, NBA players would never put themselves in these positions because while they have love for the game they also treat it as a business to their benefit which is why NBPA has the upper hand in power, money, etc.

Nope. There are a lot of factors that structured the NFL the way it is and for certain of those factors, players have no influence: the NFL having a de facto global monopoly on football, the bigger fungibility of players, NFL teams and owners being richer and thus more powerful, etc.

Comparing the NFL and the NBA is comparing two different beasts. It's way easier to build an efficient syndicate in the NBA than in the NFL, independently of the players' smartness.

I agree to disagree. I believe NFL players don't try hard enough to be in control for their own benefit and have been brainwashed into believing they are just disposable bodies and in-turn settle for what they can get under the guise of "as long I get to play for the love of football" perspective, and if that's what works for them so be it but all I see is a league full of fools.

Yall think fame = intelligence when the Pro Bowl gets higher ratings than NBA playoff games :mjlol:

Imagine if the NFL decided to market its stars the way the NBA does :mjlol:

There are tons of dudes smarter than jaylen brown in the nba, you’d think this nikka was a Rhodes scholar with a doctorate from Oxford the amount of times you hear from him how smart he is.
Because being a Rhodes Scholar is evidence one is of high intelligence?:francis:
