From what I'm seeing as of now my belief stands correct :manny: willingly agree & sign slave contracts, bruhs. At this point the NFLPA is looking funny in the light. That's all there is to it and I'ma end it there.

You refuse to take into account structural factors. It's basically bootstraps type of talk: if you want, you can. Unfortunately, it does not always work like that.

Let's say, you're a prospect NFL players; what would you do? Not sign?

It's a bullshyt narrative from jealous people.

So he's too smart for basketball that means he should be working in some office, when he chose a career path that generated him millions of dollars? It's a shame NBA exec said this, he knows better, you need to be smart enough to play and stay in the professional sports league + handling your life outside the sports. Most likely another closet racist making jokes.

You can be very smart and do things in your life that you enjoy doing.

Pure nonsense, take this trash back to Reddit.

The reason you have a union is to collectively bargain for contractual terms. Doesnt matter how many players are on a team, the players can still bargain for more pay and rid themselves of slave contracts.

What the fukk do team numbers have to do with anything from the players side?

Where do you clowns get this retarded shyt
nah. all negotiations are about leverage. NBA players have more leverage than NFL players because they have more options. and even with that leverage, it's still not as much as the owners. they have the most and prove it in every negotiation. with the 2005 CBA salaries were capped at 57% of basketball related income (BRI). in the 2011 negotiations, the owners knocked the players down to a range of 49-51% of BRI. a union is only as strong as its weakest links and the NBA has quite a few of them, it's just that NFL has more of them and it has nothing to do with smarts, it's about structure.

It’s funny because they’d never hire Jaylen Brown to work in the front office of an NBA team. This is a goofy backhanded compliment.
