I mean if you can't play 4/5s of a season why should you win awards ?
because there are tons of cases where players in the past havent and still gotten the awards

65 games is arbitrary and not based on any data at all. It's an asspull number. Why not 55 games, why not 50? Victor Wembanyama is arguably the most impactful player in the league, and has played 57 games. So because he didn't play this arbitrary number of 65 games, he shouldnt win any awards?

Cade Cunningham led his team to the 1 seed in the east and is having an all-NBA 1st team/MVP caliber season. Since an opponent fell on him, collapsing his lung, he shouldnt be eligible for awards because he didn't play an arbitrary 65 games, again, number based on no data?

Cade ain’t deserve it anyways but the rule is flawed I’d set it at 58 games
or just abolish it because it doesn't address the actual "issue" of load management

no voters were giving ppl MVP/All-NBA/All-defense honors for playing 35 games anyway

Yes you fukking, dummy. You need to actually play a majority of the games in the regular season to be eligible for regular season awards. You sound dumb AF.

"a majority" could be anything you stupid fukk. it could be 44, 50 or 51, etc.

And again, it was already considered without there being a random 65 game rule, you dumb bytch. So the rule is unnecessary

Cade would most likely get all-nba 1st team without this rule, and he played a majority of the games, dumbass. But with this rule in place, he won't even though he play "a majority of the games" like your inbred ass just stated. That's why the rule doesn't work, you fukking mongoloid

Go look at how many MVPs played under 70 games in the history of the NBA. That's how they got to 65, which is more than fair. They drew a line in the sand and still gave a cushion.

Cade missed 3 straight games in Nov. Ok, let's say that was for a legit injury/illness. Then he missed 4 random games between Jan & earlier this month. Had he played those games, he'd still have been eligible.

The voters always put games played into consideration without the arbitrary "65 games played" rule before

there are seasons where Kobe and Bron played 64 games and still made All-NBA. Hell 55 games of Kobe or Bron is far more impactful than 70 games of some other player, chances are

This rule forces guys to play while injured.

DONT LIE ON KOBE
KOBE NEVER PLAYED LESS THAN
65 GAMES IN A NON LOCKOUT SEASON
AND MADE ALL NBA

BRON ON THE OTHER HAND
HAS ATLEAST 3 SEASONS
WHERE HE PLAYED AROUND 55 GMS
AND MADE ALL NBA.

THIS RULE WAS SPECIFICALLY
CREATED FOR nikkaS LIKE HIM.

NOTICE HOW HE JUMPED
BACK UP TO 70 GAMES
IN THE PREVIOUS 2 SEASONS
