How much more coursework would you need to start off with an Associates degree in nursing? That would automatically make you more marketable as an RN and give you some time if you still wanted to get your BSN

Nursing has gotten extremely saturated and competitive, many schools are enforcing stricter standards to matriculate into nursing program s and have raised their GPA req. Hospitals also are raising the bar and requesting more experienc and don't even look at 2 year Rns, they only hiring Bachelor's RNs
It all depends on the type of nursing you're trying do. Clinical, med/surg, case management, utilization review, etc.... best that he researches which direction he'd want to go and see if a 2 year nursing degree would be a feasible option.
