I have been going to some socialist events and shyt like that like Cornell West was speaking etc (mainly to talk to some intelligent dimes :manny) but I just personally do not see the rational and factual basis for socialism. I mean socialism as we know it and marxism are really just euphemisms for communism and state confiscation of property, how can anyone support that from an empirical basis

I've been at numerous events with Cornel West (you know I try to stay anonymous on here), and he's always sounded more like me or you politically when my friends get to chat with him than people to the left of us on here (and you have to try really hard to be more left than I am). He's been better at pointing out problems than crafting solutions when I've seen him. So if you didn't come away with an answer that is fine. But make no mistake, there is a lot to be gained from merely pointing out what our objectives should be because from there we gear our resources towards doing it. Though, you're more to the right than I am in a lot of places.

No you're right, but I would argue it's Jim Crow on information............they can force websites that can't pay these fees essentially out of existence, since they will be to slow for the average person to sit there and wait to view................ In other words alternative voices, that don't have that kind of bank, will be shut out ...and Disneyfication of the internet shall commence..............
