It’s the modern equivalent of a book burning. Between this and the tax bill it’s designed to create a permanent underclass that’s entirely uneducated and can’t access the tools to escape poverty and maybe even drive some people on the way out back into poverty in the process. The fact that someone would not realize the problem with 5 people not elected by the public voting on something that affects everyone in a nation of 300 million+ is disingenuous at best and shameless trolling at worst. The Alabama senate race saw it get out late in the race that the republicans bloc an candidate was opposed to every amendment after 10, which meant he’s opposed to women’s rights to vote and even worse, that he’s pro slavery. This information certainly swung voters away from him. Imagine if that information were blocked by providers since they want him in the senate. On top of all that, nearly half the people in this country live paycheck to paycheck. Most can’t afford any more bills and have to cut corners in some way to make ends meet as is. This would compound the problem exponentially.

I too have looked at it objectively. From a business standpoint, it presents an opportunity for the ISP, the content providers, and entertainment industry.
It's three pronged intent from that end. 1. Charge for things people get free currently. 2. Preempt an eventual mass cord cutting, legal/illegal stream of copyrighted content costing m/billions to said industry. 3. National Security...monitoring...etc. 4. Consumer manipulation/control/prediction. 5. Something else...we don't know about.

You are correct on most of your comments, but a system that doesn't increase profit isn't a "loss" that they have to operate with. They are swimming in profits currently. Many of these services are already manipulated and overpriced. The shift to "free" is unnecessary.

Key word is service. They serving us, not the other way around. You aren't a victim, you're a customer. If you didn't wan't super fast internet speeds and every tiny facet of information at your fingertips in an instant, on demand, on all your devices, 24-7 they would have no power over you, or "game" to run on you. But you do want that, so you're going to have to either pony up and pay the price, or adjust your consumption habits so they can present a package more financially favorable to you. That's business. But they better at business than you, that's why you're crying and they're winning. I'm not saying you should like the changes, I'm asking you why you think this stuff is on the same level as shyt like the right to vote, and the right to free speech. You should wan't ISP's to be super profitable because they are the ones providing the capacity for you to consume the content you enjoy. People have no problem stanning companies that create the toys they enjoy - Iphones, Galaxy phones, Playstation, Xboxes, Nintendo switch's, etc; but ISP's are evil? FOH.

We are paying though, none of this is free. I have Fios I pay like 160 a month for TV and internet and the only reason I even keep TV is cause of sports and my girl got shyt she watches. Nothing is free.

All I'm saying is that yo this might be the worst thing to ever happen, but it also may not. It's not trolling to sit back and question the hysteria.
