One of the main reasons that Republicans are doing this is not only to limit internet access but to also control any anti right wing narrative thrown at them and the capitalist corporations that they support.

The Trump administrations main goal is to turn us into Russia, meaning the government will control the narrative of what is seen and heard by its citizens.

This is one of the ways to do it.

This is what it boils down to. This and the DOJ trying to block that merger so some right wing outlet can buy cnn (I think the guy who owns Fox). It’s a direct attempt to blind he public to any criticisms of the regime and curb free speech. Any other country at any other time in history if the party in office tried what this party has been up to since the bush administration, there’d have been a revolt. That’s how thorough the dumbing down of this country has been since the Reagan administration repealed the fairness doctrine that paved the way for Fox type networks and for rush limbaugh types to get on the air.
