Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
It's not that terrible. The next GM that comes to that place is not going to be blamed for billy king's mistakes. Joe Johnsons contract expires and they will have money for free agency and a rebuilding process. Sign some players for a reasonable price, let your players build trade value by giving good minutes and slowly build that team till those draft picks come back again. The key is not to make a desperate move by overpaying some trash player, thats something that I hope nets learned.

They're going to have to overpay breh based on unusual circumstances.

Again 90 percent of teams will have plus $15 million in cap space this summer and a very small pool of available talent.

Cap grows even more in 2017.

They're fukked.

Rumor is they are bringing CSKA Moscow GM to be GM

Would not be a surprised. The owner loves to help out his fellow countrymen. He did that with kirilenko a while ago getting him on the team. Remember the Russian said when he got the nets that building a championship team would be easy just like in Russia. Just spend money and get players....that is it. :mjlol:

I never would have traded for Deron, you don't throw picks away like the Nets have been doing.

Basketball is the business, the Nets had no foresight when it came to basketball moves. When you put the business first you make horrible basketball decisions that bite you in the ass sooner rather than later. You do not trade high first rounders like that, every team that is happy to trade their picks ends up ass with very few exceptions.

True but like I said and others said this whole thing was because of the move and the stadium. The Russian never even gets the team if it weren't for the move or stadium. Jay-z never gets his 1-2% of the team without the move or the stadium.

This was all put in motion because of the stadium and move. All those involved didn't give a damn about the fans or making smart basketball decisions....it was totally business.

I still believe the Russian thought he was gonna spend some loot get talent on the team so as to sell out and flip his investment by selling the team off at double what he paid because of the new stadium and location.
