The HL been going downhill because the mods have allowed to pick and choose what poster can troll and provided leeway of breaking the rules. Alot of great posters left because of it. Then when they got called out on it, they created a personal vendetta on some of us for that reason.

Mods shouldn't be going on political ideologies like you said but they should be fair on the sides. If they dont like it, then leave and find another job to do.

HL really needs a couple things:

1. Limit the amount of threads on the exact same topics from the exact same posters. This mainly applies to nap and his numerous crusades against whatever issue is tickling his 'tism that month but other offenders as well. We didn't need 2-3 threads for everytime trump tweeted(and we won't even when he's president). Early on we had a general fukkery thread for trump and eventually we had a consolidated Bernie thread, those were and are good ideas.

2. Blatant trolling needs to go away. Yeah we all enjoy 88 and kingsmen posting crazy stories about stuffed animals shooting their fathers but threads that clearly exist just to inspire a reaction on local news items are a waste of time.

3. Really gotta ban shytposting nazis when they pop up. You can articulate a right wing, even a strong nationalist view point without bringing redditt here. @Scoop and @theworldismine13 are good posters despite having absolute shyt politics and they contribute to the forum in a positive way.

4. I really think it's time we put nap himself out to pasture. Half this subforum is people making fun of him and it limits discussion on everything. It sucks up oxygen.

5. Encourage more non politics posting. TLR occupies space that this forum should on things like cultural discussion and science. This also leads back into Us Not needing 10 threads on whatever's the 4th story on politico today

I feel like these are the core of how to improve HL. I'd volunteer but my various beefs(which, full disclosure, are also part of the problem) probably cloud my judgement or atleast would give the appearance of clouding my judgement. @DEAD7 isnt a bad choice but I think he's too laid back to take these steps. Also I'm sure he doesn't want 30 negative reviews on yelp the day after he bans nap.

We don't need a player's coach is what I'm saying here I guess

If you are a nominee and want to put your campaign policy(aka how you will mod this forum) in the original post then reply to this post and let me know what you want it to say. No more than one paragraph. Ex "I'll let people discuss so and so but will draw the line at trolls, racism, etc"

I can create an official poll on Monday with ALL of the nominees and you guys can vote on who you think can mod this forum well. I think we are looking at two mods to help out BP. If you guys want to keep the voting strictly to HL people, I can skip the polls and we can vote by reply in this thread. Let me know what you prefer.

I would like to be a moderator

I get along with just about everyone in HL not named Nappy...I will do my best to only consolidate treads as needed and have all viewpoints be shared equally as long as there is not racist or highly offensive content added to the board. Plus I have experience moderating other sites. I will make sure that conspiracy theorist, conservatives, liberals, and everything in between is able to engage in dialogue that will allow HL to be the best forum on The Coli
