back when the Nets played for Jersey did North Jersey normally root for them or the whole state? If not I’m assuming the south portion roots for the sixes?

How about now. Do the loyal nets fans root for them now that they are still in Brooklyn?

How much of a fan base does the Knicks have in Jersey? I know CT people like the Knicks a lot!

Devils & Nets winning actually pissed ppl from NJ off - bc ppl from Jersey love to associate & rep the states next to us. No pride here. No offense but I think because Jersey is literally the only state where the whole state is either part of the Philly metro or NYC metro play a part.

Suburb areas tend to root for the teams associated to the biggest cities attached to their metro area.

Hopefully that didn’t come out offensive but just what I observed!

North Jersey is New York's bytch.

Both pro football teams play in New Jersey.
The Statue of Liberty is technically in New Jersey
Most New York pro athletes live in New Jersey
The debo'ed the Nets from New Jersey, even though the Knicks will always own New York City.


In addition, the college sports teams suck.
Most if not all of the top pre athletes leave the state to play college sports.

This is how it goes - but still embarrassing. I get it if your home doesn't have a team. But for you to be mad that the team that REPRESENTS YOUR HOME STATE - is more successful than the ones from a neighboring big city- is weak minded. I ask a chick when I was younger why ppl from Philly thought ppl from Jersey were so corny. She said bc yall wanna be from Philly so bad lol. Embarrassing..
