No he doesn't...And it has nothing to do with him being white or from the suburbs.. I know plenty of white boys that know their sh1t.. But dude is a poser.. I've been listening to him for years and he's never dropped one gem or told me something I didn't already know years ago.. Cipher has WAY more knowledge they just play these roles like Rosenberg is supposed to be the "real head"...I've seen dude embarass himself so many times just during casual conversations..That's why someone like Chuck D or KRS will never take him seriously...

When he ran up on Pharoahe Monch for the first time and was like "Man that Dilla beat you got on should've been left alone. I didn't really like it." I was like dude just :whoa: He's a little extra sometimes. It seemed like he was trying to flex or show off how much he knew about Dilla. Monch handled it well IMO. On Juanp Ep they had Monch on recently and were clowning Rosenberg about it.

He embarrassed himself with the first words he ever spoke to Monch

It's literally right at the front

damn I never thought I'd agree to something like this, but music wise I get more out of Hot 97 interviews but theres still good life convo on BC
Envy irks the hell outta me... he obviously just dont listen to the artists they interview, unless its a major established artist... Yee, i can tell somewhat does, but her lane is to get into the gossip stuff

Amazing interview. Dude is the truth...

Kendrick is the antitheses of this bullshyt #newblack shyt, and also the drugged out "fukk everything get money" mindset of the Young Thugs of the world. There's nothing wrong with partying, but when that's all you do, when that's your entire message...we got a problem. I love that Kendrick mentioned Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, etc...all of them have party hits on hits on hits. But they also have emotional shyt that helped people get through hard times. Go ask a black person who grew up in the 60s and 70s what James Brown meant to them. It wasn't just party, it was this:

listen to the crowd :wow:

Kendrick made the same point I've been making about black people buying music. It's not because we're lazy or want to steal shyt...we don't believe in these artists, brehs. You got Eminem out here on the radio doing songs about fighting drug addiction, suicidal thoughts, etc...shyt people can relate to, no wonder white people champion him. Where's our champion breh? It was Pac. Jay and Nas did similar stuff. It was Kanye for a bit. But who is it now? Unapologetically black, spitting real shyt while also making us party?

Kendrick got us brehs.
:wow:

Kendrick is, as always, is a lot more likeable than his online stan base which is what breeds 90% of his detractors who are then overly critical of is music. But I guess people need heroes, and some find it in music. I am looking forward to his next project, and hopefully "i" is the worst song on the album.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I honestly respect everything Kendrick said in this interview...and him being a young dude saying this shyt should rub off on these fukkin clowns goin on the radio saying how much they hate lyrics..or they how don't think rappers should speak on anything important... Im on record sayin I feel Kendrick gets overrated and I stand by that statement...but I always felt he was really dope and I been following him since way before he blew up..hopefully he keeps dropping dope projects and inspires these new artists coming up around him and behind him to think like him...
