:yeshrug: People from New Orleans don’t give a shyt bout “the south” we identify as our own.

It’s a running joked but New Orleans will say “glad I’m not from Louisiana “ but we are serious when we say it :russ:

No disrespect to other cities in that region but they all feel like copies of New York but warped and kinda inferior

In the south it's easy to claim you from somewhere else because of their being so many little cities close to big cities

Like people in South Florida claiming Miami because you got to be a certain tax bracket to claim Palm Beach

South Crack
i mean as in different than black sc southern culture

Most black SC culture comes from Geechie roots. Just like NYC, Chucktown been gentrified to hell, Charleston county white as hell. My grandpops had a house right on cooper street in downtown Chuck. Took that shyt to build that damn bridge. You don't think those people who migrated out of Charleston to other parts of the state just left their culture too? I agree Geechie/Gullah is becoming a little diluted though, because some of the traditions are being lost. Only part of the state that doesn't really have that Geechie influence is the Upstate and like I said, it is majority cac area.

Not necessarily. Jersey is split by North, Central, and South. The north being influenced by NYC, the south by Philly, and central is a toss up, with more of an NYC bias. All depends on the county/township/city. Trenton is basically an extension of Philly while Union is an extension of NYC. Staten Island is right there.

Wrong.

South Jersey is infulenced by Alabama.

Those country hick towns in Southern NJ outside of Philly and AC look and feel like Confederate strongholds.
