I read it as they have the opportunity to return missed or blocked kicks, and if they run it back they get 2 points
So you get one point for making it but your opponent gets 2 if you miss?

They get two points if they return it for a score (regardless of if it were a two point or one point try).
But if they just miss the FG, no one scores

Should have put the 2 point conversion at the 1. What team doesn't have a kicker that can make 32 yard field goals in their sleep? At least at the 1, strategy and risk taking comes into play. It's like adding the 3-point like, the game would really be affected. Is the kick really anymore difficult now?
