A wife who I've been married to since our early 20's and we have a GF of 4+ years that lives with us off and on.
Emotionally it's always been a Triad, sexually sometimes it's a V, sometimes it's a Triangle depending on them. It's not legal to have a second wife, so it's not technically marriage.

Before we settled into our current situation it was an even more frivolous situation with 4 girls, but wasn't nearly as serious emotionally. Just like a commune thing where we all hung out, raised our kids together, did stuff as a big family I was the head of. Even within that everyone wasn't smashing each other, the dynamics of that type of stuff can get complicated.

Ill say is again. I have never met anyone in real life that wasn't miserable in such a situation.

I got married 20... - big mistake. This guy cheated on me and when I found out he tried to talk me into a polygamous relationship:laugh:. I was never going to forgive him for the cheating let alone polygamy. I guess he took a risk and thought I was so madly in-love or stupid enough to overlook that shyt. Long story short i told him to bounce and keep it moving.

And I think there is a huge element of unhappiness/dissatisfaction for the kids to a certain extent.

You can tell that men who want this are only thinking of their own sexual selfish needs. Doesn't seem to be much to build a relationship on.

Honestly it would only work if women controlled it and there was some sort of system order. Makes more sense that 2, 3 etc women came together to choose a man to be their husband or if you could only get one or two "good" women until you started to have to marry the "bad" women.
