The entire automotive industry is ridiculous right now.Even a compact rental from Enterprise will run you $300 for a single weekend.

I ride a paid off 2004 Honda Civic LX with 70,000 miles (I barely drived when I lived in DC). Everytime I get the itch to get a new car I read these horror stories.
70k miles damn :picard:

i might hit 400k next year

i remember when i was a kid i thought subarus were australian cars cos they had crocodile dundee doing subaru commercials :mjlol:

i like old japanese trucks from the 60s-70s. id like to get one and rebuild it. nice machines

$800 car note is crazy, and factor in insurance and gas.

The culture's priorities are way off; everybody feels like they have to stunt on the next person, even when that means making horrible financial decisions.

O yeah and yall grown nikkas sharing cars with yo peoples need to get yo own whips

Sedan/Hatchback = Low Value

Yeah Corollas and Civics are nice, but you can't hitch a 4000lb trailer to it, or haul a bunch of 2x4s from Home Depot. Why do you think Ford and Chevy stopped making cars altogether?

So the $800/mo payment has been standard, even before Covid. It's worth it to accident prone Female Drivers cause even if they cause a crash they'll walk away unharmed. It's worth it to Elderly people with bad knees and backs cause they don't have to crouch down upon entering, or rise up upon exit.

And let's not forget alot of "sneaky links" be happening in vehicles. Even if the chick is 110 lbs it's going to be painful trying to smash her in the backseat of a Hyundai Elantra.
