They put out a console with 2000 grade hardware in 2006.

Then they put out a console with 2005/2006 grade hardware in 2012.

It's a foregone conclusion that they will go for the three peat and shoot for or around Xbone level hardware with the NX. I'd love to be wrong but Nintendo doesn't have a strong history of learning from their mistakes.

Before those two gens Nintendo was all about power I wouldn't say there is a history of being underpowered.

If this is true then Nintendo is truly as ass backwards as I picture them to be in my head.

There's no point of dropping a new handheld device because phones have taken over the game. The only way this will work is if it's a tablet like the iPad that works for shyt other than games. Otherwise they should just create a premium service app for iOS and droid, drop games on it then call it a day.

The NX HAS to come out this year. Nintendo cannot hold out with the Wii U for another year, let alone 4 more years. It hit it's peak back in 2014 and has been swan diving since the summer of last year. Judging by all the filler releases after Splatoon came out, all of their 1st party studio's are at work with NX games.

Nah, they can't rock with the Wii U for much longer.

I have blasted Nintendo's past systems, but the Wii U is truly their only legitimate flop. That shyt has barely pushed the 10 million mark, to put it in perspective the PS Vita (which is deemed a failure) has outsold the Wii U.

Nintendo may be behind the times but 900p for a console in 2016 would be asinine, even Wii U games ran at 1080p.

But we're already in the middle of this gen, by the time NX hits its stride, we'll likely see PS5. It's not like the NX will be the most powerful system when it drops, so the NX will be outclassed in a few years. Nintendo should just putmost of their attention to mobile and 3DS games to make profit now, then drop a powerful NX 3+ years from now.
