I didn't think the day would come when I would say this but Nintendo needs to go third party. The NX is already DOA.
If you look at what went wrong with the Wii U then it's hard to see how Nintendo fixes it. They put a decent amount of quality titles on the Wii U and it still had issues. One company alone can't put out enough software to make a console worth owning.

Most of gaming's modern heavy hitting franchises ignore Nintendo hardware. They aren't designed to target that audience either. It's just gonna be a struggle.

Will we see 3rd party games on the NX(2k; COD, GRA, etc)?

The only 3rd party dev's that are working with (or have interest in working with) the NX so far are:

Square Enix: They flat out announced Dragon Quest XI and Dragon Quest X for the NX during the reveal event last year and are interested in porting FFXIV to the NX.
Capcom: Nintendo has a firm grip on the Monster Hunter series as well as the Ace Attorney games. (Plus, Ono has been talking about a possible Nintendo vs Capcom lately.:patrice:)
Koei Tecmo: Just announced today that they they have a NX game in development.
Sega/Atlus: No brainer at this point, even if it's just shytty Sonic games.
Ubisoft: Always tend to jump at the call to put a launch game for a new system. Plus Rumors of Beyond Good and Evil 2 being exclusive to NX recently surfaced.

As far as western 3rd party support is concerned, only expect more Skylanders, Lego and Minecraft. Expect less Call of Duty, 2K, WWE, GTA, Red Dead Whatever, Batman, Madden, Battlefield, Mortal Kombat, Mass Effect, Bioshock.

Right. And I also think Zelda might be the only heavy title that Nintendo will be launching the NX with. shyt it might be the only AAA title they'll have on it for a while.

I've been thinking about Nintendo vs Capcom lately too..

Considering there will probably not be another MvsC for a long time... they should do it:wow:

I imagined the intro in my head too..
shyt would end with Mario throwing a fireball and Ryu doing a hadoken..
and then when the two fireballs meet..
the screen would go white and then black and the logo come on like some MMX1 intro shyt :wow:

36 characters..18 ninty 18 capcom. Get my boy Ryu from BOF3 and X from MMX1 in this shyt :wow:

Maybe their already working on it :wow:

Hell go to Sega and/or Square and get a character or 2 from them also :wow:

It likely has nothing to do with Sony or Microsoft. I don't think they have enough to show. Word is they won't release till March 17 because the games aren't far enough along to release holiday 16.

makes sense. they've probably been focused on developing games for the NX for a couple of years now since games for the wii-u has really slowed down.

as a gamer, i'm just hoping for a fun and great experience. the fact that nintendo will focus on zelda and only have that in their booth says that they're really high on it.

After speaking to seven different people this week, I can say with confidence that this is false. NX is not using x86 architecture like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The NX has special, custom-made chips and the overall design of the hardware is very modern. The chips are industry leading because they are very modern chips, but having modern chips doesn’t necessarily mean Nintendo is aiming to create the most powerful hardware on the market. Furthermore, any NX rumors on “Polaris chips” and “Polaris architecture” are all wacky. There’s a good reason why those rumors are wacky.

In terms of raw power, numerous sources tell me that NX is much closer to Xbox One than PlayStation 4. Even that might be stretching it a tiny bit. Anyone who is claiming that NX is “two times the power of PS4 GPU” is being misled by their sources. Based on what I’ve heard, I don’t believe the NX will compete directly with PS4 (Neo) / PS4K in raw power.

There will be plenty of debates over the NX’s specs because it’s not simple to directly compare two apples (with x86 architecture) to an orange (that doesn’t use x86 architecture). But everything that I’ve heard (so far) indicates that NX isn’t going to blow away any of the consoles on the market today…except for Wii U.

Nintendo making a super powerful console is the wrong strategy. The market can't support 3 'hardcore' consoles. They need to do what they did with the Wii and provide a cheap alternative secondary console. A cheap, low-mid powerful console with an unusual controller is the winning formula. This is talking strictly from a business standpoint.

If they're really serious about combining a portable with a full fledged system, that means the system will be underpowered to accommodate the portable aspect.

It better have a revolutionary controller with incredible battery life for this to work
