you guys are failing to miss the bigger point.
it starts from the little things. you wanna know why you see rappers like chief keef and all these other kids looking like fools in their rap videos and etc? they don't THINK they're capable of succeeding. they think that being a bunch of thugs and gangbangers is what they can only amount to.you guys underestimate the importance of an education and yet a lot of the problems going on among black americans today have to do with the lack of education going around. you think that these kids would be carrying on the way they would if they were educated about the system? they sure as hell wouldn't.
lupe is basically backing up this slave mentality of hopeless, thinking that the only way to fight back is saying "f*ck the system, we gotta get all militant" yet his main gimmick has been trying to use how "intelligent" he is to bring other people down. lupe doesn't seem all that interested in other black people succeeding to tell you the truth YET "kicking knowledge" has been his gimmick to sell records. he was priding himself on being "i'm intelligent black man" and "you have to buy my records because i say smart things while rappers out here are being stupid".you guys don't get it.
I'm not saying an education isn't important, but not all educations are created equal and it would do well for people to realize this rather than tell people to vote or go to school to get a good job . Being a worker bee who votes should not be our end-game plan here. Ultimately we should be in position where we are creating our own industries and retooling a political system that works for our interest. The current one that exist is owned by the interest of rich white men. This election isn't about you or me. It's about Koch vs Soros. If we go with the democrats, we're still owned. If we go with the republicans, we're still owned. Why people can't see that. I'm talking about real empowerment. That's not going to happen if we continue to participate in someone else games like pawns. We can maybe gets some wins here or there but ultimately you can't win
a game like that. I have no problem with people playing the game to their benefit, but too many black people are not in a game creating mindset. They'd rather join the white mans crooked game and complain about his rules.
