you guys are failing to miss the bigger point.

it starts from the little things. you wanna know why you see rappers like chief keef and all these other kids looking like fools in their rap videos and etc? they don't THINK they're capable of succeeding. they think that being a bunch of thugs and gangbangers is what they can only amount to. :snoop: you guys underestimate the importance of an education and yet a lot of the problems going on among black americans today have to do with the lack of education going around. you think that these kids would be carrying on the way they would if they were educated about the system? they sure as hell wouldn't.

lupe is basically backing up this slave mentality of hopeless, thinking that the only way to fight back is saying "f*ck the system, we gotta get all militant" yet his main gimmick has been trying to use how "intelligent" he is to bring other people down. lupe doesn't seem all that interested in other black people succeeding to tell you the truth YET "kicking knowledge" has been his gimmick to sell records. he was priding himself on being "i'm intelligent black man" and "you have to buy my records because i say smart things while rappers out here are being stupid". :laff: you guys don't get it.

I'm not saying an education isn't important, but not all educations are created equal and it would do well for people to realize this rather than tell people to vote or go to school to get a good job . Being a worker bee who votes should not be our end-game plan here. Ultimately we should be in position where we are creating our own industries and retooling a political system that works for our interest. The current one that exist is owned by the interest of rich white men. This election isn't about you or me. It's about Koch vs Soros. If we go with the democrats, we're still owned. If we go with the republicans, we're still owned. Why people can't see that. I'm talking about real empowerment. That's not going to happen if we continue to participate in someone else games like pawns. We can maybe gets some wins here or there but ultimately you can't win
a game like that. I have no problem with people playing the game to their benefit, but too many black people are not in a game creating mindset. They'd rather join the white mans crooked game and complain about his rules.

hmm... I wonder if there's anything important on the Illinois ballot

Illinois Lincoln Amendment (2012)

The Illinois Lincoln Amendment, so-called because it was proposed on Lincoln's 203rd birthday,[1] may appear on the November 2012 ballot in Illinois as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The measure would allow the public to enact ethics laws through ballot referendums. The amendment was proposed by Governor Pat Quinn on February 12 and is sponsored by Senator Annazette Collins.

We had a spark when we started, (50s, 60s), now we just garbage, (as a whole, IMO).

And it'll continue - as long as you got this smart dumb nikka idealism circling about and jumping to the x-generation. The black historical landmarks that have come before mark a time - there's NOTHING now that'll be remembered. No obama. it's in the state of plateau. There's 10000000000x more opportunities for the black-voice than there was 50 years ago (and x-years before that and so on and so on)...... it don't make sense that more work/progress was achieved back then, than there is now.

Im not punishing him for what he did. Im pointing out that he shouldnt be on tv someone an idiot when he shamed his family to millions of listeners for entertainment. The 2nd thing im pointing out is that because i dont respect him i dont take his criticism of Lupe seriously or regard it as holding merit. What God does with him isnt my business.

To address your first point, what man is infallible? There are many demons, REAL demonic individuals running Hollywood. The fact that I've known of DL for years, seen his stand-up before he blew up, movies, media appearances, etc, and just now heard about him shaming his family publicly, tells me that the information you divulged is not that widely known.

To your second point, that is between him and his family. MLK had extramarrital affairs of his own, thus, publicly shaming his family in front of millions. Does that take away from the movement he was a part of? That makes him human, IMO. Is his message now demonic, because of his demonic actions in the past?

All this to say, don't let another mans demons manifest into yours. That would be so demonic, friend.

To find out MLK's family business, you have to dig. DL tells millions of people. I cheat on my wife. Im sorry but its humiliating not only to her but to his family. Sorry you see it as something normal, friend. Family business is just that, family business. The lack of loyalty showcased translates to other situations such as this where DL is used as a bafoon to attack a brotha in an uneducated manner for having his own opinion. Its pathetic and c00nish. Sorry, friend.

i thought lupe didn't vote because he didn't support the war. i mean its pretty straight forward, if you vote for someone you are supporting them, and if they participate in war than essentially you are supporting war be extension. it really isn't even that complicated.

its not even so much about what the government can do for us, its about what the government is doing to people internationally.

It doesn't, but it does. The times we're living in now, you really don't have to leave the house to do shyt. EVERYTHING, can be done from the comfort of our own homes. It made us, humans, but more specifically, Americans, lazy as fukk.

Another factor, I think, is the fact that we, as black people, constitutionally have the right to vote, thanks to "mobilizing" in mass, and sacrifice, to better our people's situation as a whole.

I know that I have hope. History tells us that power, wealth, world domination, etc is cyclical. Right now the cacs got that. We're gonna go through a whole generation of c00ns and smart dumb nikkaz before they die off, and things can be righted once more.:obama:

I think at this juncture, we should just agree to disagree. Have you the same sentiment, friend?

Im still waitin for one the these house slaves to show me what changes voting has made...

Isnt there a black man in the white house?

And before you say he hasn't done enough if nothing else he has shown young black males that they can be the most powerful man in the world through hard work and education. That counts for something.

But who in this thread or in that video said that voting was the end all be all?
No one is saying go vote and sit back and wait. How we gonna retool a political system when we can't even actively and collectively participate in one when the time comes. Y'all keep focusing on the one thing everyone is saying not to focus on: this election. Nah man, we tryna get the right people(preferably our ppl) in state legislator seats, city councils, school boards. Even if you believe the white man ain't no good and nothing will come of this, the potential benefits outweigh the costs. But no one is saying just vote and thats it.
