Yeezus was decent at best, but you'll always have nikkas who think they're smarter or they're "listening to music the right way" for championing a different sound like it's the greatest shyt ever.

That's no shots to the nikka who genuinely liked it :whoa: , im talking to the nikkas who weren't really feeling the album but pretended to cuz they knew sooner or later all the reviewers would give it 10/10's and make them feel like some type of musical geniuses... Premeditated dikk Riding :scusthov:

in my honest opinion, the only reason alot of nikkas switched and started saying Yeezus was AOTY status was because they got used to listening to it, it's just like when a shytty song comes on the radio and you hate it, but they keep playing it so much that eventually it doesn't bug you as much anymore, the song itself didn't get ANY better, you just got used to it so now it's not as bad. But the thing with that is... we live in a time where everything is either complete garbage or it's the best thing ever created, so since nikkas got used to Yeezus, it can't be garbage anymore, so they bumped it up to AOTY status immediately :yeshrug:

it's ridiculous how many people were shytting on yeezus before the reviews came out and before this kanye interview came out :mindblown:

it just shows how easy it is to control how people think when they desperately want to believe in something. Those same nikkas hated yeezus, but they wanted kanye to have a good album soooooo bad that when other people made it cool to say "yeezus is dope" they all jumped on it

he could put out an album of him farting and nikkas would be like "hold up i gotta listen to this for a while before i decide if it's good or not :ohhh:" but what they really sayin is "i gotta wait until enough people cosign this before i say anything so i wont look like a dikk rider"

then of course you got the blatant dikkriders who'll cosign anything that nikka does because they dont have a father to look up to

Kanye and Jay having the most disappointing albums in 2013 isn't surprising. A lot of people probably expected it based on the following:

1) Both albums were easily the two most hyped albums in recent memory. The hype for both set the stage for epic disappointment.

2) Both of them were equally responsible for Jay's disappointing BP3 (Jay as the artist and co-executive producer and Kanye as co-executive producer). After that people pretty much wrote Jay off.

3) People have been saying Jay's been lazy since the above mentioned album, so they expected mediocrity. Same for Kanye with Cruel Summer.

I think Magna Carta Holy Grail is a good, solid album. It's not great, but good. To say that Jay is lyrically wack on it is over the top. There's gems on that album. He isn't at his best, but still good.

With Yeezus, it's an ok album. Where that album suffers more than Magna Carta is that it's only 10 songs and there wack songs bring it down. There wasn't enough greatness support the weight of the wack songs. I don't care how experimental, futuristic, creative, innovative the album is, the music isn't consistent enough to warrant the praise.

What in the fukk is "ok" about Yeezus other than the lyrics. It's a next-level listening experience.

it's really not tho, if you listen to some dubstep or any other EDM music... you'll realize that it's an awful attempt at mashing the two together

it's like you saying that Golden Corral is a next level eating experience, cause you've never really ate anywhere to know that there is far better shyt than that awful shyt.

Dubstep and EDM?

LOL you don't even know your music.

Try Dancehall and Industrial w/ segments of soul samples (On Sight)

Ayo, first off B....suck a dikk if you'sa Kanye stan.

y'all created this diva, and are full blame for all of his hoe antics and awful album.

secondly.... the same people who called Magma Cardboard a classic just off the strength of a commercial and tracklisting are the same people who say that we need to let give Yeezus time to appreciate it.

But forreal, if you would've told anybody that Jay and Kanye would be the low points of a year in hip hop....before MCHG and Yeezus dropped..they would've :russ: in your face.

What is hip hop coming to brehs?
Changing of the guard. The real question is, what are people ages 18 - 25 doing right now because typically in hiphop these are the new pioneers.

The 18-25 range of rappers, have already dropped albums far better than MCHG and Yeezus.
Well id expect more from them in terms of classic material than 40 year old rappers that are trying to hold onto their days as leaders for the culture. Its over for them.

Yeah, cause tracks like Cant Hold My Liquor, Black Skinhead,I Am A God,Send It Up aren't EDM influenced.

you might wanna go listen again, and the fact remains, that shyt is still awful....and not a "next level listening experience"

unless you consider getting shyt poured in your ears for 40 minutes, a next level experience.

If Yeezus had dubstep and EDM influences you might actually be onto something :heh:
