I think it's hilarious how this board will only mention race and/or question the source of an article if they disagree with it.

The fact the you are using fakkit gay azz New Black Lennox Mall as an example lets me know where you're coming from..

For every Lennox there are 10 South Dekalb Malls.. Gucci was rockin Balmain and Adidas way before Kanye btw..

:russ::deadmanny:

And Lennox isn't a "New Black" mall dumbass....its where hood nikkas go when they got money, fukk is you saying? :snoop:

You speaking on Wop and don't even know he was a frequent Lennox patron along with all these other rap nikkas :pachaha:

I didn't say Keef wasn't a Wop fan, only that he is a bigger Wayne fan. And anyone you name thats a fan of Gucci is going to be a fan of Wayne. We grew up on The Carter well before Gucci had his run.

This is true. If you ask any young street nikka from the age of about 22-25 Wayne or Gucci was their favorite rapper as a teenager. All I'm sayin is it shows more in their music when it comes to Gucci.

It seems crass to blame him for these artists' inability to manage their careers.

Regardless the rap game damn near gone when these weak ass rappers using autotune and hi hats to protect their lack of stage and mic presence.

There is a difference between naming a song to pay homage and rapping and dressing like someone. All these long dread Atlanta nikkas sipping lean doing the auto tune and high pitch cadences don't exist without Tune.
Long dread auto and high pitch cadences sounds like tpain

Gotta disagree :yeshrug:

The brick talk and the production is Wop's biggest contribution to these young cats but Wayne the foundation from the autotune, to the junkie behavior, to the red flagging

So yo argument is bums dress like Gucci? :pachaha:

I thought we was talking about influence in rap, no? Atlanta rappers don't even dress like Gucci. They all in tight Bape, Balmain, Adidas, Raf, Versace, Margiela, etc :pachaha:

Gucci has never been a fashion trendsetter..even when he was at his peak he usually just wore whatever what was poppin at the time (Coogi,Artful Dodger,Black Label, some Gucci & Louie shyt).

You're reading too much into the article (or maybe didn't read it at all) if you think it's making the case that Gucci's taste in clothing, drugs, etc. is what carried forward.

It has more to to do with the actual music.

Wayne never really did trap music. :yeshrug:

Kanye's influence undoubtedly has transcended music and gone into clothing and whatnot, and he does have his artist offshoots, but the connections aren't as strong.

Gucci literally apprenticed a lot of these young cats.

No I wasn't talking about the industry.. I'm talking about about the people..

That's like comparing Prince's fashion influence to Run DMCs in the 80s.. More dudes dressed like Run DMC because it was more practical and obtainable to so called "bum n1ggas"...

Kanye is the look for the young affluent...The majority of this country doesn't fit into that category..

Not only this but just look at who the hottest producers are right now.

808 Mafia ,Zaytoven and Metro Boomin all come from the Gucci umbrella (808 Mafia came up under Waka...Gucci protege).

3 years ago Gucci dropped 3 different mixtapes with 3 different producers..fast forward to 2015 and there have been 4 different rappers this year to do Zaytoven only tapes :banderas:
