Lmao @ Wale being influenced by Wayne.

And anyway, he, Cudi, and Sean are all but washed up today. :camby:

Cole and Drake on the other hand, yes.
I never said anything about Wayne

Sean prob just dropped his best album.... and even if he was washed up, what does that have to do with influence?

There is a difference between naming a song to pay homage and rapping and dressing like someone. All these long dread Atlanta nikkas sipping lean doing the auto tune and high pitch cadences don't exist without Tune.

So Cal
What it sounds like today wouldn't be possible without T.I. though. That's the point. That doesn't negate Gucci's influence. In fact, I'd even agree that Gucci has more influence on the sub-genre than T.I. What's inaccurate though is saying Gucci "created" or started it.
you think ti started it?

Gucci is extremely talented. And dude is a great rapper.

I'm gonna echo my mans Yams right here cause the shade people who dikkridd lyrical rap constantly throw at rappers like Gucci is tiring and boring

Don't judge a rap based on whether or not it's actually good (flow, lyrics, creativity etc.)
just whether or not you like the message brehs.

If I did that my library would be filled with garbage.
Only thing Kanye influence was the way some these wack nikkas dress. Wayne got a couple nikkas out here rapping like him but Gucci got near near the whole new wave of rappers doing something like him
lolWhat ?

Post-Kanye there were DOZENS of rappers doing the "New Back Pack Rapper" style.
Phil Ade, Wale, Charles Hamilton, XV, Kid Cudi and rappers I've probably forgotten in the past seven years.
Were all getting push on blogs and all had a similar "Back pack", "Average joe" style of lyricism AND attire
not to mention heavily sampled beats.

Yeah the same Kendrick who came in the game sounding like a Lil Wayne clone and pays homage whenever he can is influenced by Wayne.
Kendrick has never been a "Wayne Clone".
He did ONE mixtape INTENTIONALLY using Wayne's flow and even on that tape
he invokes Method Man and Eminem.

Gucci has had more influence than Kanye West...Dont believe me? Pull up any underground unsigned YouTube video from the past 10 years..

And there are examples of Kanye trying to sound like Gucci, but none of Gucci trying to sound like Ye..

Gucci has more influence than Kanye in his own City...
