Nah man, the beat is the foundation. To not give someone credit for that is fuked up. Pac thought it was fuked up too, thats why he kept shouting out Daz on the beat on their records.

Yeah but just to counter argue your point, Dre alwas have. Read the credits for 2001 for example. Read the credits on most beats after 2001 (ie. Get Rich, Documentary etc). It says co-produced, drums by etc.

like I said earlier in the thread tho..he get's dope producers..puts them on his "team"..the make some of their dopest shyt..and then by the time he's done wit them..alot of em are burnt out...especially wit Dre being such a perfectionist...and nikkas is getting shyt twisted talkin all that he gives them all the direction and then they lay it out for him....nah..alot of the time..they will already have made the damn beat..and he will "fix" things up and clean it up...that's a damn engineer..

making beats doesn't make you produer, but you should be paid for your work

And for the record JR Rotem and Scott Storch are not producers

they are beat makers

They have zero artists they've created a sound for

Scott Storch layed the piano part of Still Dre, but Dre made it sound with his production skills those same notes can sound stale and wack, guys like storch are glorified studio musicians

I always saw dre as more of a composer so its all good. You wouldn't say a dude composing for a 72 piece orchestra is wack cause he cant play every instrument; he just needs to be able to imagine each sound is his mind which is still impressive.

As he got richer and famous he probly started delegating more until he was hardly doing anything. Thats just how the world goes.
