fukk dress attire. Millennial's don't even have as much respect for that shyt as the generation before us did.

I do get more respect when i'm dressed up but i get respect when i'm casual too. And i choose comfort> everything else. Wear stuffy ass button ups isn't comfortable to me.

I'll be in tees and jeans till i drop.

I'm jealous I gotta wear scubs at work. It's like wearing pajamas all day though so it's cool.
Nah that's cool too though

Scrubs = money to me... Plus it's simple, just throw it on and go to work.

You can still dress nice for certain occasions

Do you then breh:manny:

I'm casual now.. Went to see Dave Chappelle last night in a v-neck, Levi's and some Toro's

Gonna hit the Hawjs game tomorrow in v-neck and Timbs most likely.

But I wouldn't mind working at a place where I have to wear basic dress attire more often

I feel where breh coming from its just a different feel especially for a young black man. The suit or attire you wear mostly gives you some kind of status/respect. I can't tell you how many doors have opened for me just dressing nice or being pulled to the side like hey shorty wanna holla. I'm still in my v-neck and J's but during the work week aint nothing like pulling up the tie in the mirror brehs

Every single time I throw on a Calvin Klein suit the wife looks at me with that sparkle in her eye, thirsty as fukk. It's a real thing brehs. Buy one nice suit, get it tailored and your off and running.

It helps that I'm 6'2 cuz tall dudes always look better in suits.

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.
I'm usually in some nice slacks and a dress shirt during the week. But in my college organization when we had to wear suits weekly boy....:banderas:

Hoes thirsting in real life and on Twitter for the boy. Nowadays I keep it simple and casual on the weekend, but I'm bigger and more fit now so it still looks OK.

You can't have it both ways...either you are gonna be yourself regardless of your fashion choice OR you gonna let fashion dictate how you should act and feel about yourself. Thus why so many people, regardless of color, suffer from materialism

Real shyt...my uncle showed me an episode of Bug bunny that helped to reinforce what my grandparents tried to teach him
No amount of money, jewelry, bytch, wealth, clothes etc should change how you view your self worth

Yeah I used to feel
The same way
But once you get older you're like :manny:

I'm still the same person, and you will find out who genuinely likes you when you're bumming it, but in the work field and even in life in general, people are going to judge you on how you look unfortunately.

And it's not even a face thing more so than a dressed thing. Even racial opinions might take a backseat if you're dressed sharp and look good. Then you can throw out your personality.

We had to give a 30 second speech about ourselves and our career field yesterday and I'm the only black dude there. Like I said, I'm a timbs, Lacoste guy so that's what people saw me as. But I was dressed sharp but not only that, I am sharp. So after my 30 second speech about myself and my accomplishments and goals, NO ONE had any negative feedback to give me. I was laughing and joking it up, and even some of the females who originally felt some type of way we're open and talking to me

:heh:
I guess if you wear dark thick frame glasses too, white folks will act different towards you. Turn off Curb Your Enthusiasm
