So Bam and Dray aren’t true bigs in the traditional sense? For a true big, your criteria is they need to atleast be 7 ft and “pound inside”. Essentially, just calling someone a C or PF doesn’t make them a (true)big.

And I’m assuming you meant no disrespect to Dray or Bam.

Since you have a definition for true bigs, I figured you had one for true point guards. I wasn’t referring to the Olympic team per se, I was more so inquiring about your distinction of traditional/true positions on the basketball floor and how it contradicted with this thread.

I don't pay much attention to the whole "true" or "pure" PG thing and I'm not even sure what positions really are in modern basketball. I don't think it matters much either. Magic Johnson is widely considered the greatest PG ever and he wasn't a traditional PG, he's 6 foot 9 and spent his first few seasons playing a lot of the 2 spot while Norm Nixon was the PG.

It's one of those terms that means little, like when people say a baseball player is a "pure hitter" and it usually just means he has a high batting average/contact ratio but doesn't hit many HRs.
