NY and NJ heads, what's it like to live around/deal with "Italians"?

Growing up in The Bronx and Harlem I hardly ever saw them :yeshrug:

I just saw some shyt saying The Bronx is 45% white

That is a bold face fukkin lie :stopitslime:

I doubt even 10% of the BX is white

The few white areas aren't densely populated like the Black and Latino ones

I think the Bronx is about 13% non-Hispanic white. Which is still a lot of people

Grew up in full Italian neighbourhood ask me anything. Like op said very traditional people , brutally honest can’t help themselves when it comes to letting you know who they are. Never had an issue regarding racism as I was taken to places most my shade haven’t seen :mjpls:

Always treated me like family , like you said they don’t like outsiders for the most part so regardless of racism if you know how to maneuver you will be fine.

And ya the women are really nice and kind , don’t take that as them wanting to smash though we have no chance for the most part unless you really got the sauce:mjgrin:

I live in a neighborhood that was once mostly Italian, but is now very diverse. The only Italians left are the older ones whose children are grown. There are a few left on my block. One just sold their house last month. Almost all of them have that "blue lives matter" flag on their homes or their cars. I speak to one of the older Italian guys as he's always outside. He seems cool, but he would have moved along time ago, if he was able to. The others keep to themselves, but you know they're all racist af.

As for the other Italian neighborhoods, I went to Bensonhurst once, and I could feel that I wasn't welcomed.

And I had a gig at a catering hall in Howard Beach once, and they were really on some :mjpls: Both me and my boy pulled up to the hall at the same time, and when we got there they said that they were not aware of the event that we were supposed to be working. After acting oblivious for a few minutes, a manager came out and told us that we were supposed to go to their second location, down the block. So we go to the second location and they're on some BS too and made my homie go through the back door because he was carrying a keyboard. I really don't know why these nikkas insisted on having their event in such a neighborhood.

You Barely See Em Unless You’re Specifically In An Italian Neighborhood, When I Was A Kid Every Pizza Shop In NYC Was Run By Italians, Even In The BX, It’s Not Like That Anymore

If You Visit NY And There’s A Mexican Making The Pizza Just Walk Out

Also If You’re In NY, The REAL Little Italy Is In The Bronx Not Manhattan

The 5 Boroughs
People in here aren’t telling the full story. Unless you grew up in an area where they have numbers then you don’t know what’s up

The ones from traditional backgrounds are hot tempered, rude, disrespectful, confrontational. They don’t bite their tongue generally but they WILL switch up and try to keep it cool if blacks are in large numbers. Any black person with east coast roots likely has older relatives and male family members who grew up fighting those fakkits in the 60s and 70s because the Italians tried to harass blacks just minding their own business. The “Joey Caruso” character from everybody hates Chris is very accurate, Italians like that existed en masse on the east coast back in those days. Those same Italians are obviously still around today and they pass their bullshyt onto their children

Don’t get me completely wrong, EVERY group has cool people. They’re not all bad but both sides need to be told
